My Full Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Review

The sale of the season officially opened to the public last Friday!  Have you shopped yet?  Items are selling like hot cakes this year.  I’ve never seen stuff go so fast!  And I have hardly seen any re-stocks this year.  I am in Facebook group with a lot of other bloggers, so there was buzz on Friday about how Nordstrom won’t be re-stocking any items this year.  It sounds like Nordstrom changed up their strategy this year which makes me kind of mad :(. I would have placed way more on the first day of the sale if I would have known this!  I guess lesson learned for next year!

I got in my first big order that I purchased when the sale went live so I wanted to share my full Nordstrom Anniversary sale review!  I will go thru what I’m keeping, returning, still on the fence about, what else I ordered and also my biggest regret.  Because I never learn my lesson and there are always a few items every year I wish I would have just bought right away!

What I’m Keeping

I am so in love with this jacket!!!  I first saw it when I was initially shopping the sale and it sold out in my size pretty quickly.  A couple of days later, I was checking to see if anything had been re-stocked and saw that my size was available.  I immediately hit checkout!  It is pretty lightweight and the sleeves are like a sweater, so they are tight.  I’m so excited for this find!  Wearing an XS.

These are the best pj’s ever!  They are the softest things you will ever feel and they do not shrink at all!  I hate buying pj’s only to find that after I was them they are a size too small.  I’m wearing my normal size small, but could probably go down a size if I had to.  I just like my pj’s to be cozy!

I knew I wanted to splurge this year on a good cashmere cardigan and I defiantly found it in this one.  It is a one size fits all item, which made me a little nervous at first, but I am so happy with it.  It is lightweight enough and the cashmere is really great quality.  I know I will be living in this!

 

What I’m Returning

I really wanted to love this dress, but it’s just not for me.  I bought it to wear to work and because it is so low cut on me, I just don’t feel comfortable in it.  Wearing a size small for reference.

I’m so disappointed with this scarf!  I was so excited about it but when I felt the material it was an immediate no for me.  I have been obsessing over this scarf for years.  But at $300 it is way out of my budget.  So I thought this one was going to be a great alternative and a fraction of the cost.  The material doesn’t even feel like cashmere to me.  It is much more gritty and harsh feeling.  This one is for sure going back!

I’m a little disappointed in these leggings!  Zella is my fav brand of leggings.  Every year I buy a new pair and this year I decided to be a little risky. I’ve always wanted to try a pair of white ones and this pair caught my eye.  The picture online shows the mesh lining to be less open so I was a little shocked when I put them on.  They are just too risky looking for me.  And I didn’t think the mesh part would go up so high, so I would have to always wear a longer jacket or sweatshirt with these.  They are great quality and would have defiantly kept them if they looked more like the picture online.  Sad to see these go!  Wearing a size small.

I actually think these mules are really cute on.  They fit good and are really comfortable to wear.  The material is just so cheap looking!  And I can’t get past that.  I’m officially giving up on this trend. Wearing a size 8.

 

Still on the Fence About

I still haven’t decided on these shoes.  So many bloggers have been posting about them and I think they are so adorable on.  As I was seeing pictures on Instagram, I was so excited that I snagged them in my size!  But on me, they aren’t that comfortable.  They pinch in the toe area on me.  I NEVER buy uncomfortable shoes because then I never wear them.  We also always walk a ton where we live when we go out but I’m not sure if I will wear them because they are uncomfortable!  But they are so cute and on sale for $50!  I just can’t decide!  Wearing my normal size 8.

I’m still on the fence on this sweatshirt.  I placed another order the other day and it depends on how much I like from that order haha.  This sweatshirt is great!  Super soft and I love the oversized fit of it.  It’s really lightweight so you could easily wear it indoors if you get chilly like me from the AC.  Wearing a size small.

 

What Else I Ordered

I thought this turtleneck would be a good layering item in the winter time or even on it’s own when it isn’t so cold out yet.  And my Hunter boots died a few weeks ago.  I wore them one day to work when it was raining and I couldn’t figure out why my sock was soaking the second I got to work.   So I actually really need a new pair and these are $50 off the original price!

Everyone keeps talking about this brand and I had to try it out for myself.  I decided a blanket sounds so cozy to snuggle up in during the winter months.  And I couldn’t pass up these candles.  I’ve been wanting to try them and all my current candales are on their last leg, so I really needed some new ones.  I’m always burning candles- it makes your home smell so much better!

Lastly, I stocked up on my favorite hand cream.  This stuff works wonders!  It is non greasy and has no scent which to me is amazing.  I keep a tube in my desk drawer and apply after every time I was my hands.  It totally saves your dry, chapped hands during the winter months and keeps them hydrated and super smooth.  This is one beauty item I can’t live without!

 

My Biggest Regret

Every year I have a regret and this year I sadly have two.  I am so in love with this cozy Zella jacket and it sold out within the first weekend of the sale.  I should have known because it was such a good deal- on sale for under $60!  And not to mention how adorable it is.  They sold out of a small and I was about to get a medium and sadly that sold out too before I could checkout.

And my other regret this year was not getting these Spanx leggings.  Back in January I almost ordered them because they look adorable with boots and an oversized sweater.  And frankly, at that time I wanted to look cute but still remain comfy.  But then I thought to myself- no, don’t get these yet.  They always go on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  Just put them on your list and you can get them at a great price.  I thought these were an item that Nordstrom would not run out of, but sadly they no longer have my size 🙁
