Would you believe me if I told you that this is my first gingham top that I have ever bought? Or for that matter, ever tried on? I know it’s hard to believe because gingham is EVERYWHERE. But to be honest, I just wasn’t that crazy about it. Until now!! And now I want everything in this cute little print.
I’m just going to say it- I hated this trend….at first. And now it has really grown on me. Do you ever get that way with a trend? I have to think things thru and I have to see it styled multiple ways in order to really jump on the bandwagon. I’m that way with a lot of things, especially when it comes to fashion. I am not one to jump on the newest trends just because it’s new. I like to think about it and make sure it really fits with my style and vibe.
But with this trend, it’s everywhere, which actually made me a little turned off. Gingham is a preppy print, so I’m shocked that I didn’t immediately like it. It wasn’t until I saw this top at J.Crew, that I even thought I would try this trend. And once I tried it on- I was hooked. This top is adorable and pairs perfectly with a bright red lip (my fav!).

I thought the same thing when I first tried it but you just have to find the right color. I mean, it is VERY bold too so you have to get use to it being so dramatic.
