You know that really old ‘rule’ that you are supposed to retire your white jeans after Labor Day? And they shouldn’t come back out until Spring time? Well I completely disagree with that! In fact, I LOVE to wear white jeans after Labor Day. I might even like them more in the Fall than Spring/Summer! White jeans are my all time favorite, why would I store them away for half the year? No thanks.
The trick to wearing them after Labor Day is what you wear with it. Make sure your top and shoes are all Fall appropriate. This is where people go really wrong. I would recommend keeping the color of your outfit to more deeper shades and wearing some cute booties or sneakers. This will make your outfit appropriate for the time of year!
One of my favorite ways to wear white jeans is with a plaid shirt! Plaid is a staple in my wardrobe this time of year and the more oversized the better. I pretty much live in them! J.Crew is one of my favorite stores to shop for plaid tops. Right now their selection is limited, but it’s just the start of the season.

O M G! I have not seen anyone wear Hush Puppies in years! I wasn’t aware the brand was even still around. Definitely snagging a pair for fall.

I love wearing traditionally “spring” clothes in the fall! I think it’s so fun and a relatively tame way to be daring, for people like me who want to take fashion risks but not be that risky.
