A Twist on a Basic Tee Outfit

I basically live in these tees from Madewell. I own more than I would like to admit right now! They are the first items I grab to change into after I get home from work. And they are the easiest to throw on over the weekends. I love love love how this tee adds a twist to a basic tee outfit. Because let’s be serious, I always want to look cute and comfy. And this tee makes you look way more put together than you might really be!

I sat down to write this post and I am kind of having writer’s block, which has never really happened to me yet. Guess there is a first for everything! So here are a few random thoughts I’ve had lately:

Addie finally got a bath this weekend! Praise the higher powers to be! She was overdue by about three weeks for one and she was shedding so bad. I could literally sit there for two minutes and get a ton of hair out of her. Kurt and I even took her down to our dog park one night when it was nice out last week and double teamed her on brushing. We got a lot out but not enough.
I’m really conflicted on if I like MacKenzie-Child’s items. I always think their stuff looks so adorable in other people’s homes (see this post and this post). But then I look at the pieces online and they just look sort of strange. I can’t tell if I like it enough to spend the money on it. What your thoughts?
Does anyone else sort of dread short and bathing suit season? I dread it because I can never and I do mean never find anything to fit my big butt. In shorts, if they fit me around the waist they are skin tight on my thighs. And if they fit around my thighs they are huge around my waist. I can never find a pair that fits! And the same goes with swimwear. The sizing is always off!
Do you think our cat Frank and Addie will ever get along? Frank always runs and hides whenever Addie walks into the room and it really bothers me! My friend tagged me in this adorable video of a cat and dog who were the same way. And finally after years of living together (I’m talking like 10+ years) they finally became friends. And even took naps together! I’m hoping that this will be them someday!
I’m obsessed with Charleston, SC. I tell Kurt every other day that we need to book another trip there. And I think I’ve finally talked him into going in the fall again. We went last spring and I swear it was the best vacation ever. The city is so charming and just all around cute. I could totally see myself living there!
Now that it is finally starting to get nice out, we are so excited to start spending our weekends at the dog beach!! We finally went late last summer and we had the best time ever! There are just tons of dogs running around and everyone is happy, I swear, because they are outside surrounded by dogs who are even more happy! We talk about it all the time and try to get Addie extra excited for it!
Does anyone have any good tutorials on how to curl their hair with a flat iron? I got my hair done the day we took these photos and I’m obsessed with how my hair dresser curls my hair. I’ve been practicing and can sort of do it, but it never looks as good as she does it!
I recently tried LipSense and I’m kind of hooked. Like I want to order every color. If you aren’t familiar with the product, it is a lipstick that stays on all day and doesn’t rub off on your coffee mug, top, etc. It’s kind of genius!
