Swimwear is really hard! Especially once you become a mom and are chasing after kids and worrying about covering your butt. Today I want to dive into the best bathing suits I own and wear as a mom.
Best Bathing Suits as a Mom Over 40
Hunza G

Bathing Suit | Shorts | Sunglasses | My daughter swimsuit (old), similar here and here
I never thought I would spend this much on a bathing suit, let alone love it as much as I do. This suit made me optimistic to think that good swimwear really does exist. This is the suit I am reaching for first, always. It is so comfy and stretchy. Even after you wear it all day, you feel great in it. You don’t have that restricted feeling in it. You can sort of move and shape the suit to how you like to wear it. For example you can pull down the top part or up. Or give yourself a higher leg to elongate your legs and it stays put. The material is so light and stretchy that it feels wonderful on. The one size fits all was a little questionable at first, but trust me when I say it hugs you in all the right places. I would 100% consider adding another color and style of this suit into my wardrobe!
La Blanca

Swimsuit | Pareo | Hat | Sunglasses | Flip Flops
This suit is newer to me this summer but it’s everything I’ve been missing in my wardrobe. I have been on the hunt for a white one piece for a few years now but nothing was working because they were all too see thru. I ordered this one to try because it was under $100 and I ended up really liking it. It makes your boobs look really good which is nice haha. And the ruching in the stomach is really forgiving. So if you are feeling bloated that day or just a little uneasy, it offers a little more coverage. Another one piece that is really comfy too. FYI I’m wearing a size 6.
Minnow

Bathing Suit Top & Matching Bottoms | Shorts | Hat | Flip Flops
This two piece top and bottom is from a go to brand of mine- Minnow. I’ve bought swimwear for my daughter in the past and I love their sweaters. This year was the first year I tried their swimwear myself and wow, I was missing out. The fit and styling is just top notch. And those extra details just make their swimwear so special. When I think about the best bathing suits as a mom, I typically think of a one piece but I also really like wearing a high waisted bikini to change it up. I still feel more covered but it’s a little sexier style. But you can still chase the kids in it. Love this print so much! I even got this matching top and shorts to wear as a cover-up. Sizes always go super fast in this brand, so if you like a print don’t wait! I’ve missed out on so many cute new suits because of that. FYI I’m wearing a medium in the top and medium in the bottoms. It runs small so size up.
