Happy Friday!! Is anyone else excited for the weekend? I’m always happy when I get to spend more time with the pup and hubby.  Today, I am bringing you the perfect casual Friday outfit for the office and some tips on what’s appropriate.  I know I have said this before, but I can only wear jeans once a month to work.  It’s truly tragic and I don’t know how I do it, but I make due.  Haha.  So my jeans day outfits that I can wear once a month are always well thought out.  And who doesn’t like to look cute on a Friday in case you have plans after work?

Of course during the summer months, I am always reaching for my white jeans.  I mean these are just the best pair of denim I have owned.  And I paired it today with my favorite new sweater.  It is just so girly and it’s classy enough for the office, yet still on trend for happy hour.  Here are some tips I have come up with on dressing for the office on casual Friday:

  1. Do not wear distressed denim

    Just don’t do it!  Your jeans need to be clean and no holes or distressing.  You still want to be professional on casual Friday, even though you can wear jeans.

  2. Make sure your top is still presentable

    You still want to get up and iron your top.  Even though everyone in the office is more casual today, that doesn’t mean you can show up looking like you just rolled out of bed.

  3. Wear appropriate shoes

    Sneakers are not an option here.  Even though the office will be more casual today, you still need to follow the guidelines your workplace has set.  Even though I love my Tory Burch sandals, my office doesn’t allow open back sandals. So even on jeans days, I have to pass on wearing them (but that doesn’t mean that I don’t wear them TO the office and change once I get there!).  Ok, sometimes I sneak them, but I’m not suppose to wear them!

  4. Leave your sweatshirt and yoga pants at home

    These are just never appropriate of the office unless HR specifically tells you it’s ok to wear these.

  5. Still do your hair and makeup

    You will feel so much better about yourself if you get up and still wash your hair and do your makeup.  Remember, you work in a place of business.  They don’t need to see what you look like on the weekends while you are running errands.  Plus you will feel better about yourself.  My dad always said to me- “you gotta look good to feel good!”

Every office is different and if yours is more casual during the week, you might be able to get away with more on casual Friday’s. What do you like to wear to the office on Friday’s?

    our office is pretty casual every day, so I don’t treat Friday any differently. I try to do my hair/makeup every day, but some days I might be in leggings and a long top, and others I’ll be in a dress. Love your shoes in this outfit!

    My office is super casual, I wear jeans everyday so Friday’s for me are just another day. With that being said, distressed jeans are totally normal in my office. I tend to try to dress on the nicer side of casual but all in all, we can wear whatever we want! I love the white on white look, its my favorite for summer.

    Love the outfit and I totally agree with your tips on casual Friday outfits! I’ve seen so many people taking liberties because it’s supposed to be a more relaxed dress code day. I mean, it’s still a place of work, right??
