Recent Sales and New Finds 2/22

Hi!! I know its been a few weeks, but I just sort of felt like I needed a break. I was really feeling uninspired, which is not like me. Every now and then I go thru these phases I guess you could call them where I don’t feel like shopping or browsing even. I really think the weather has a lot to do with it. Chicago has gotten so much snow these last few weeks. And on top of it, it has been freezing. I am talking single digit temps. So its been hard to get motivated when you are just trying to stay warm!

It’s also that weird time of year where its still really cold, but I am sick of wearing all of my winter items. Lately, I have actually given into the ‘work from home’ outfits that I know so many people wear. I have been living in leggings and sweatshirts and cozy socks. I actually don’t think I’ve put a pair of jeans on in weeks which is so unlike me! Anyone else ready for spring this year?! I know I am!

This week, it seemed like all of my favorite retailers launched their spring new arrivals and I am here for it! The pastel colors and frilly styles have me inspired again. And ready to get dressed in real outfits again!

I have even felt a slight shift in the weather lately, which I think is really helping. But maybe its because its actually suppose to warm up finally this week. On Saturday, things just seemed different. Its hard to put my finger on it, but Kurt also said the same thing. It was still cold here in Chicago, but the sun was so bright that you almost wanted to be outside or just be active. It felt so nice! And then Sunday morning when I took Addie outside for a quick walk, the birds were chirping. A clear sign to me that spring is around the corner!

J.Crew launched some new arrivals this past week and it has me so excited for spring! They are always my favorite to shop every season. I love this new sweater blazer that they came out with. It’s an updated style to this one that I wear all the time. And I adore this dress! Would be so cute as a cover up over this bathing suit top and bottom. And I am obsessed with this headband! I actually ordered this one 🙂

I haven’t decided if I like the ‘shacket’ (shirt + jacket) trend, but this might have convinced me that I need to try it. Love the blush color!

Ok, I LOVE these shoes! I’ve been trying to figure where I can wear these too because I just love them. If you are a bride, these are your perfect shoes for your big day (they can be your something blue!). They would also be perfect for a bridal shower. LOVE!

I missed out on this dress last year and really regret not buying it. Its on my wish list this year. Its one of those dresses that would be super cute with espadrilles for date night or sneakers for during the day.

I adore this sweatshirt and those puff sleeves add a fun element to a basic. I have been living in sweatshirts lately.
