My Decorating Wish List

I know this time of year is usually centered around gift giving. But I also love to take advantage of home items that I’ve had my eye on because they usually have really good sales! So I wanted to share some items that are on my decorating wish list in case something catches your eye for your home too.

Flush Mount Light– I absolutely love this light so much! Eventually, I will purchase it and add it to our hallway upstairs or our front entryway. I think it is a stunner!

Seagrass Lamp Shade– These lamp shades will the perfect touch to add to my gingham lamps in our dining room. I really think they will tie in my rattan chairs a little better and be the finishing touch that is needed. I’m really excited because this week I am having a handyman come out to help me hang some of the artwork I’ve bought for our dining room, so this room will be *almost* done!

Burl Wood Frame– My mom and dad bought this print for me for my birthday this year and I absolutely love it! You might be remember that my mom and I went to NYC at Christmas time a few years ago and it was the most magical vacation ever. I can’t wait to go back again someday and take Sloane with us. So this print means so much to me! I will need to have the print framed and I’m pretty sure I am going to go with this one. I’ve used Framebridge in the past and they do top notch work at a much cheaper price than your local framer.

Brass Floor Lamp– I just love this lamp! I’m pretty sure I want to add it to our office. But I have a feeling when I actually do end up buying it, that I will find a ton of spots in our home that it looks cute.

Baskets– We added this bookcase a few months ago to Sloane’s play room to house all of her toys. The problem is I hate how you can see all of her toys. So I want to order these baskets so I can shove all of her toys in them. Nice on the outside, a mess on the inside haha. Then I don’t have to look at the brightly colored toys!

Orchid– My girlfriend gave me an orchid when I first moved into our home and about a year later I killed it. Orchids are really hard to keep alive! It looked so pretty in this planter that I have. So I think my next one needs to be faux so it will live forever!

Cordless Lamp– I think these are just the coolest lights. They are cordless and rechargeable so they are perfect to carry around your house. Or add to spaces that need a little extra light that you don’t have a plug nearby. They would also be really nice to use outside for some mood lighting!

Bowl– This bowl is on my wish list because I don’t think I could ever spend this much. But isn’t it gorgeous?! It would be perfect filled with moss balls on my dining room table.

Rug– I adore this rug so much! And I’ve been lusting over it hard core since I first saw it. I recently bought all new rugs in our home (see them all in this post), so I don’t have a lot of space left. But I am pretty sure I am going to add it to my powder bath when we eventually have it re-done.

Kids Table & Chairs– Our next ‘kid’s’ purchase will be this table and chairs for Sloane’s play room. She can sit here and eat snacks, color, draw, learn, etc. I was going to splurge on the Pottery Barn kids set. Buuttt after thinking about it, I think I am going to do this inexpensive set. That way she can color, do all the things on it and if it gets messed up, no big deal.

Boxwood– I really want to add two of these boxwoods to my mantle to flank my TV in our living room. Right now, it is decorated for Christmas. But once the holidays are over, I plan to purchase these.

Lamp– We really have zero furniture in our play room. And this is where we spend the majority of our time. So this is the next space I plan to really concentrate on. Right now, we borrowed a lamp from Sloane’s room haha so it looks fine, but doesn’t exactly go. I think this lamp would be perfect in there!

It’s kind of fun to make these wish lists because it makes me get everything our of my head and onto paper haha. What’s on your wish list right now?
