…

Is anyone kind of excited to finally get back into a routine?!  Last Friday, I emailed one of my vendors ‘Happy Friday’ and she emailed me back saying ‘But it’s really only Tuesday’.  And I had to pause for a moment and look at my calendar to confirm that it really was Friday!  It make me laugh because I kind of hate the last two weeks of the year when you have no clue if you are working, not working or what day of the week it is.  I crave routine!  So I know I’m happy to get back into the grind.

Today I wanted to take a look back and share my most loved items of 2019.  I went thru my order at my favorite retailers that I shop the most at and these were the items I bought on repeat.  Or items I just wore constantly.  I also added in some of my favorite furniture items that I bought this year that has helped to transform our space.

Most Loved Items of 2019

1. Barefoot Dreams Cardigan– OMG this is the most cozy cardigan ever!  I know it’s on the pricer side, but it is literally a dream.  I wear this almost every night sort of like a robe.  Or I will wear it around the house with leggings.  It is the most cozy thing that I own.

2. Media Cabinet– When we moved I knew we needed a new TV stand because ours got scratched in the move and just did not fit our enormous wall that we had (it was way too small).  And after searching high and low, I found this one at Target of all places!  It is very reasonably priced and I love how it turned out.  We found it a bit difficult to put together because the directions are very vague.  But we finally figured it out and I adore the finished product!

3. Drunk Elephant Mask– I am so beyond obsessed with this mask!  I swear it has helped my skin in so many ways.  My pores are smaller and my skin just glows.  It has also helped with redness, acne scaring and also keeping new acne away.  I’m so happy I found this product.  I typically use this about twice a week and leave on for about a half hour each time.  This is an item I will for sure be continuing with in 2020.

4. Wet Brush– This brush is a must for me especially now because I have extensions.  It is so gentle and I don’t have to worry about damaging my hair.

5. Gucci Crossbody– I bought this bag in the spring and was so hesitant at first, but it has now become my go to bag.  Its the perfect size and the neutral color goes with everything in my wardrobe.  I also really like that it can be dressed up or worn more casual.  Read my full review here.

6. DryBar Dry Shampoo– Literally the best dry shampoo you will ever use!  I became obsessed with it this year and now this is the only one I use.  First off, the smell is just amazing.  It smells so fresh and so clean.  And you don’t get that chalky residue in your hair.  The best part is a little bit goes a very long way, so it usually lasts me about three months.

7. Gucci Mule– This was another one of my splurge purchases of the year and I couldn’t be happier with this mule.  They are a classic, yet still on the trendier side so they go with all aspects of my life.  I wear theses to work all the time dressed up and even on the weekends with jeans.  They are incredibly comfortable and the more you wear them, the more comfy they are.

8. Native Deodorant– I switched to a natural deodorant about two years ago now, but it wasn’t until this year that I actually found one that I liked and stuck with it.  This one smells amazing and I’m not embarrassed thinking that I smell now that I use this one.  It was a long process of a lot of trial and error when I switched, but now it was well worth it.

9. & 10. Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner– This shampoo and conditioner has literally transformed my hair.  It has made my blonde, processed hair so much more silky and healthy feeling and looking.  I actually use the whole line of products because I’m so obsessed with them.  If you have blonde or have processed hair- I can’t recommend this shampoo and conditioner more!

11. T-Shirt– Here me out on this one because I know this seems ridiculous to spend on a white t-shirt, but I promise you will love it.  This is the perfect, cool girl tee in every aspect.  I wear it at least once a week because its that good.

12. Serena & Lily Chairs– I bought a set of these chairs when we moved and finally had room again for a dining room table and I am so happy with them.  At first, I was so nervous because I thought they would be delicate and wear easily.  But that is not that case at all!  They are so tough, clean up so easily and are just so pretty.  They add so much character to my table and I am so in love with them.

Meet Amanda

Hi- my name is Amanda Faber. My husband and I moved in 2021 into our first home where we are slowly decorating and renovating our 1927 colonial home. My style is a mix between coastal, traditional, modern and grandmillenial. You can expect to find all the best blue and white finds, mixed in with lots of rattan accents. I am also a new mama to my daughter Sloane who was born in 2021! I love to share home décor finds, preppy fashion and all the peonies & hydrangeas from my garden. Welcome to Cashmere & Jeans!

I have a love/hate with family photos. It always s I have a love/hate with family photos. It always sounds like a great idea when you book them, but they always end up being way more work than you think. Work always ends up being crazy that day, something always goes wrong with someone’s outfit (this year it was Sloane’s adorable pink shoes that I swear I just bought her. They were too tight 🤨- so she threw on her rain boots). The weather is never quite what you expected when you planned everyone’s outfits. I swear I threw my dress on and had 2 minutes to spare before we were out the door. The stress and planning that entails for 15 minutes of photos is crazy lol. And then you get them back and they perfectly capture your family 💙 I’m grateful we do these every year even if the process is a little crazy #fallfamilyphotos @tessamerrillphotography
