J.Crew Swim for the 4th of July

I have been on a swimsuit buying craze lately! Every summer I like to add a few new options into the mix. My favorite is mixing and matching. I already own a ton of plain bottoms or tops, so it’s super easy to just pick up a printed or striped top. And it’s way cheaper. Lately, I have been buying quite a few and sadly I haven’t liked a lot of options. The sizing of suits can be so off sometimes. Like, they run super small! When I started to pull this post together I was pulling a ton of bathing suits from a lot of my favorite retailers. But then I was like hold up! J.Crew swim is my absolute favorite!

I have been buying my swimsuits from them for years! They have the best colors, designs and the sizing actually works. So mid pulling this post together, I decided to switch gears and only feature swim from J.Crew. If you are looking for good quality suits that don’t cost a ton of money- this will be your go to also!

And let’s talk about price. They are very reasonably for a suit. I can’t fathom spending $100 on a top and then another $100 on a bottom. Am I the only who thinks that is insane? For $200 I would rather buy an awesome pair of jeans that I will wear all the time or a kick ass pair of new shoes! Anyway, J.Crew always has sales too especially on their swim. So, while you might be a little sticker shocked at first they always have deals. I typically only ever buy anything from them when they are 25-30% off. And when they have their 40% off sales- I go crazy!

And with the 4th of July is right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to pull red, white and blue color options! I love this color combo. But if you don’t feel like being patriotic or want your suits to have a longer shelf life than just one week, these are all great to wear after the holiday!

I am so glad they decided to bring this top back from last year. It was one of my favorites to wear and it looks adorable on! I own this in white and navy and it mixes and matches with so many bottoms. I also own this one piece in black. It is so slimming and the tie detail is just so cute! I’m also obsessed with these bottoms. In fact I just ordered them when I was shopping for this post! I love high waisted bottoms because you aren’t showing as much of your body off. I always feel so much more confident in a high waisted bikini vs. regular bottoms. Anyone else the same way? Kurt always makes fun of me for wearing them, but I think they are adorable!

What are your plans for the 4th this year? It’s kind of weird and annoying that it falls in the middle of the week this year! We always head to Kurt’s aunts house. They live on a small lake in Michigan and his entire family gets together every year! It is quite the noisy house, but I love catching up with everyone. And my nephew from California will be in town too! We face time him all the time, but it is so different when you can spend time in person with them. I can’t wait to squeeze his cute cheeks!

It’s always a battle every year too on who gets to sleep in the bedrooms. Kurt and I always get last pick because we don’t have kids yet so I usually never sleep. It has to be quiet for me to sleep and when I hear one little noise I’m wide awake! So, needless to say, I don’t get much sleep every year on this vacation.

We typically play around in the water all day. They have a boat and we go tubing or jet skiing. I’m really hoping it is HOT out this year. We’ve had some years in the past where it was chilly and it totally ruins the weekend!
