I am really all about having some good basics in your wardrobe. These are the pieces that you are going to turn to over and over again. And when you don’t have anything to wear or can’t think of anything to pull together- you turn to your basics to re-create an outfit! I have 5 summer essentials that I can already tell I am going to wear over and over again this summer. They are the pieces that I am constantly reaching for and the staples in my closet. I already re-created this outfit and wore it to dinner the other night, except it was chilly so I wore my white skinny jeans instead! Here are my 5 summer essentials:

I wear these tees all the time! They are the first thing I throw on when I get home and change out of my work clothes. And even on the weekends I am always reaching for them. These ones from Madewell fit so well and you can’t beat the price at under $20!
Jean Jacket

I am all about the jean jacket this year. It is a great light weight jacket to throw on with white jeans, leggings or even shorts. Summer nights can get a little chilly so this is perfect to always have with you. And it looks adorable with shorts. I just bought my jacket this year but I’ve already worn it so many times, it’s like I’ve owned it for ages!

Ahhh shorts. They are so hard to find, but when you find a style and brand that fit you well make sure to stock up. These have been a favorite of mine for years. I am talking like 5+ years. I love how preppy they look and they are a classic short that is not going out of style anytime soon. White is of course is my favorite color but they come in a wide variety of colors. I make sure to size up two whole sizes, but that is just me! I prefer them to be a little looser on me anyway! Another pair of shorts I am loving this year are this pair that I featured in this post.

What is summer without a good wedge espadrille?!?! These are my go to shoes right now! They are the perfect height- I feel like I could walk for hours in them, they are that comfy. And the best part is the closed toe option. It is great when you are in between pedicures! haha I also think the lace up detail is just adorable! And they look so cute with jeans, shorts, skirts or dresses! They are also under $100 which is a great price point 🙂
Statement Earrings

I love to wear a fun and bold earring every now and then. And I am obsessed with this pair! They come in a few other color options so if turquoise isn’t your color, there are plenty more! Statement earrings dress up any outfit and make you look pulled together. And they are super fun! This outfit would be pretty casual if I took off my earrings. So that is why I love an oversized earring- they make you look way more dressed up than you actually are!
