I’m gonna go out on a limb here and make a very bold statement. AGOLDE jean shorts are the best shorts ever!! Ok I said it. But you ask why? Well let me get into that!
For years, I have been on the hunt for a really good pair of shorts. And it is much harder than you might think. Some of you might look at my figure and think- no way does she have issues. But that is just not the case. I am by no means taking for granted my body. I work hard to stay slim and in good physical health. But a girl still has curves! Regardless of my pant size, I still have a big butt and thighs making it impossible to find a pair of shorts that fit correctly. We’ve all been there. And I feel your pain!
Honestly, I don’t even know where I found these shorts, but somehow they ended up on my shopping cart at Nordstrom.com. But then again a lot of stuff always ends up there haha. My guess is I added them to my cart after seeing them on another blogger. And if I could only remember who it was, I would love to thank her because I’m obsessed with them.
A few weeks ago, I went to place an order for a pair of pj’s that went on sale and these were also in my cart. I read the reviews and decided to order them on a whim, fully expecting to return them. I thought they would be just another ill fitting pair of shorts.
Nordstorm has super fast and easy shipping, so I got them a few days after I placed my order. I had completely forgotten that I had even ordered them to be honest! And when I tried them on, I immediately feel in love! They have a ton of stretch to them which makes them super comfortable to wear. The high waist sucks you in, they are the perfect length (not too short and not too long) and they fit in every single area!
I can never find a pair of shorts that are an all around good fit. They either fit in the waist, but are too tight around my thighs or they are loose enough on my thighs but enormous on my waist. The struggle is real. So, I was pleasantly surprised when these actually fit around my waist AND my thighs. They are like the unicorn of jean shorts! To note, I did go up two whole sizes in these shorts, which is pretty typical for me. I really can’t stand them to be tight around my thighs. Then they look to small and make you look larger than you actually are. No thanks! The size was perfect for me!
I received them Memorial Day weekend and it was a HOT weekend. We are talking in the 90s all weekend long. It felt more like August than the end of May. I was so happy they arrived when they did because I wore them all weekend and I haven’t taken them off since! Kurt and I even shot some new photos for the blog and I wanted to style a million outfits around them!
The only downfall about these shorts is sadly the price. And that is the reason I almost didn’t order them. They are $128, which I know seems ridiculous. But honestly for how well they fit- I would have paid a lot more. I’ve already worn them six times and I can’t even wear them to work! They will defiantly be getting their money’s worth.
You will be seeing these a ton on the blog and Instagram! They are my go to pair right now. I am even considering ordering another pair. For reference, they make a few different styles. The pair I’m wearing is the Parker style. This pair is awesome, but I have to image every pair by this brand is just as good! Here are some other options and colors I have found:
