I don’t know about you, but everywhere I shop and look right now everyone is pushing spring styles. And I’m over here like I just need a cute casual outfit that I can wear right now! In Chicago, it is still cold and snowy. In fact, it’s snowing right now as I’m writing this post 🙁 So I don’t think winter is going away anytime soon (even though it’s now March!).
Anyway, I love seeing all of the new spring styles and how other bloggers are wearing these items. But I know if I buy it now, I won’t actually be able to wear it until May/June. And likely by then the item I bought will be on sale! If you like in a cold state like me, the only way you are wearing these new spring styles is if you are going on vacation. And if you are- I’m very jealous of you!
So here is a little outfit inspiration if you are still suffering thru the snow and cold like me. I always reach for my coated skinny jeans this time of year. Mine are from Madewell last year and it doesn’t look like they made them again this year so I’ve linked some similar options for you below. I like to wear these because they make you look a bit more elevated than you might actually feel. And they add this nice texture to your outfit. And I know you might not be able to necessarily wear sneakers yet, but I’m just sick of wearing snow boots!
Alright, keeping this short today because I gotta get back to packing- we move in less than two weeks! It went by so fast and although I’m sad to be leaving our building and neighborhood, I’m super excited for our new space and to get organized again. Happy Monday!
