Happy Wednesday! I’m am so sorry it has taken me so long to share these photos!! I’ve had this post in the works since Thanksgiving, but then the holidays came. And I wanted to make sure I was giving you all the gifting content that I could! These photos were from Kurt’s cousins wedding that we attended in Chicago the weekend before Thanksgiving. The wedding turned out beautiful and we had such a good time celebrating.
My biggest suggestion I can make when deciding on what to wear to a winter wedding is to invest in a LBD- that’s ‘little black dress’. You always read that you need one of these in your closets, but I never believed it! I actually bought this dress over three years ago, oddly enough for a wedding we had the weekend before Thanksgiving (same weekend, same dress!). And this is the ONLY dress in my closet that I have now worn three times! As winter and fall weddings gain more popularity, this dress is my go to. I love the long sleeves and lace detailing. And you can easily change up your look with your shoes, makeup or hairstyle. Think a classic black pump, smokey eye or a berry lip.
Sadly, since this dress is from a few years ago, Nordstrom no longer has the exact one, but I found this one that is almost identical. It’s a little pricey, but a LBD is worth the investment! Here are some more budget friendly options:
We actually have another winter wedding this weekend. A true winter wedding if you will since there will be snow on the ground. I’m excited to get all dressed up again- you all know I love to get decked out. I’m still so confused as to which dress I’m going to wear. I am torn between two of them. I took a poll on Insta stories a few weeks ago and this green dress won, but I actually think I like this one a little better. This green one is a little out of my comfort zone with the deep v in the front and the second I put this one on, I just felt like myself. So, in the end I’m still totally confused!! It will be a last minute decision! Which one do you like better? Green or navy?
