I am not really a red person, I think because I love pink so much and I don’t really like mixing the two together. But there is a BIG exception when it comes to dressing for the 4th of July and wearing red, white and blue outfits! I love it!!! I think because it is just so classic. We always do a big family get together around the 4th of July so I love being festive 🙂
So many retailers have already launched their 4th of July options, so here are my top red, white and blue outfit ideas for this years holiday!
Red, White and Blue Outfit Ideas
First off, I am so excited about this flag sweater!!! I have wanted one for years and years, but never pulled the trigger because I could never find an affordable option. They are usually hundreds of dollars like $300-$400 range which is crazy. I know they are a classic, but I could never pull the trigger. Well, leave it to Old Navy to come out with this one that is under $50!! I ordered and will share once I get it. I got the ivory, but it also comes in navy too. And I decided to size up to a medium for a more oversized fit. Hopefully it won’t look too big.
I am also slightly obsessed with this denim dress– how cute is it?! And it is something you can wear all summer long- not just for the 4th of July.
Red has been a big color this year so I am really loving this red bathing suit and the striped cover-up to match. I picture this with white linen shorts on the bottoms and the shirt tied up with the American flag hat– cute right?! I also think you could wear this shirt outside of the holiday- it’s a classic.
I’m also in love with these flag shorts. They make a matching sweatshirt too. They look very classic Polo and I love that. I picture these over a bathing suit at the lake. Comfy, but still really festive!
And if you need something a little dressier for the holiday- I love this red dress! The stitching on the bodice is really cute. Hill House also just launched some new arrivals and I can’t stop thinking about this navy and white striped dress that would also be adorable for the 4th of July too.
I know 4th of July is a little over a month away, but it will be here before you know it. But I also like being festive for Memorial Weekend too. So buy it now and you can wear it next weekend and into July. That’s my plan!
