Ok I didn’t want to give in but last year for Mother’s day I received my first pair of Lake pajamas. And ever since I’ve been addicted! They are all I want to sleep in. I do a load of laundry just so I can wash them and wear them again. I change out of my clothes after dinner just so I can get comfy in my Lake pajamas. To say I’m hooked and obsessed is an understatement! Read on as I share my Lake pajamas review.
I’ve heard about Lake pajamas for years. But I resisted trying them because they are pretty pricey for a pair of pajamas. And were they really that revolutionary? The answer is yes! They are the most amazing quality.
First off the fabric is amazing. It keeps you cool in the summer heat yet warm in the winters. I swear to you, I always sleep better when I am wearing my Lake pajamas. The cotton also gets better and better with each wash. So if you think they are soft when you first receive your pair of pajamas- it only gets better!
And not to mention how utterly adorable the styling is! Just when you think you have enough pajamas, they launch a new pattern and color that you just have to have. I also love that they play into the holidays like 4th of July, Christmas, etc. I always get Sloane cute pj’s for these holidays so why not for myself too?! Side note- they do have kids sizing but we haven’t tried them yet. I think this year I am going to order Sloane and I a pair of matching Christmas pj’s when they launch the collection. Kurt is over the family mathing pj’s and he never wears them anyway haha.
Sizing
The sizing is a little weird I think on these. They are all cotton and are intended to shrink, which they do a lot. Most people say to size up one size from your normal size to account for the shrinkage but I personally think you only need to do that in certain styles, which I will note below. I prefer my usual size small because they fit a little closer to your body. I do own mediums in two styles and the one style is a little more oversized than I prefer. Don’t get me wrong- I still wear them all the time haha.
I should note they do shrink a lot in length. If you are tall, I would get the tall sizing or size up 100%. Because they shrink in the wash, I do notice them a little shorter than I like but not enough to go up a size for me if that makes sense.
The only style I do prefer a bigger size in (size medium for me) are the shorts sets. I like my shorts loose and the medium fits perfectly. I think a small would just be too small for me. But I always size up in all shorts and skirts for my body type.

I wear the long long set (meaning long sleeve top and long sleeve bottom) the most in the winter, early fall and early spring because I get chilly at night. I own a medium in this style but I think the next time I buy a pair, I will order a small. They are intended to be long pants as in to the floor, but I find they shrink a lot in length. It doesn’t really bother me though. I feel like all pajamas shrink in length anyway. The medium still fits really nicely, but I do notice if I wear them more than a couple of times they tend to stretch out and become looser. I am going to try the small next and see if I like that size better and will report back.

I love this style so much! The navy is old but they have a really pretty light blue and green out right now. I decided to get a small in this style and think they fit great, although they did shrink a lot in length. I also wear this style a lot!

This was my first pair I got a year ago for Mother’s Day and where the obsession began! Even Kurt always compliments me when I wear these. They are just so cute and comfy and I love them haha. I am wearing a medium in this style and would buy this size again because I like my shorts a little bigger anyway.
Sales
They do have sales a couple times a year which is the best time to buy. I recommend signing up for text messages because then you get to shop the day before the sale goes live. It’s the only way I’ve been able to grab a pair because the good colors and sizing goes fast. And shop as early as possible that day so you get what you want. I will be sure to highlight the next time I see a sale coming. I know they usually do a big Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and I want to say they do another big sale in July if I can remember correclty.
They also make maternity pajamas which looking back I really wish I would have bought myself a pair. I would have lived in them. Anything to be a little more comfy and feel more put together. They would have also been great for post baby when you are lounging around a lot. A great gift idea for a new mom!
