I haven’t done an outfit post in…years? It truly feels like forever. But lately, I have been sparked to get back to doing these again!

When I first started this blog, it was very fashion focused. And most Saturday’s I would wake up at the crack of dawn so Kurt and I could shoot some outfit ideas for that coming week. I would get up so early to beat the crowds when we lived in Chicago, but it really started to wear on me. And started becoming a ton of work.

These days, it’s so much easier shooting outfits. Kurt and I both work from home. So it’s easy for me to get dressed for the day and to ask him to snap a few pictures of me. So I’m going to start sharing more outfits around here again!

To be honest, the last few years, I haven’t really been that interested in fashion. I needed comfort over cute and I needed easy stuff to throw on in the mornings. So most days, I end up in athletic wear. Which isn’t the worst thing! I do feel like I am more active and willing to be active when I am dressed in leggings. I get my workout in and am more willing to go on walks during my lunchbreak when I am already dressed for it.

Buttt- I have been really missing putting together outfits and actually wearing the items I own already! I feel like this summer was really eye opening for me. I didn’t wear hardly anything that I own like my favorite sandals, dresses, etc. So instead of saving my cute outfits ideas for the next event, I’m going to start wearing them!

Today’s outfit features this adorable J.Crew Rollneck sweater. It is the perfect weight as we head into fall when the temps are cool in the mornings. I adore the color combo (I’m very into navy and white right now!) and also the fit. The fit is just so good!

I’m also really loving this trend of wearing your sweater on your shoulders. And as someone who is always cold, this really does keep you warm! But not too warm. It’s a win-win! It’s the perfect way to add a little fall to your outfit but not overheat.

Here is a better look of the J.Crew Rollneck sweater on. I am in a small. It has a really cute higher neck, but not too high and a cropped fit. Sometimes I get nervous when I hear cropped because I don’t want to wear clothes with my stomach showing. But this hits right above your hip bones and really helps to not make the sweater too bulky. I think this is super cute. And it also comes in lots of difference colors. I also love the watercoler blue and frosty lavender.
