I haven’t done one of these ‘a few things lately’ posts since November, so I thought one was in order to update everyone on what’s going on in life! As everyone knows, this coronavirus has taken over everything. In my world, it literally has consumed me. You might not know this, but in my day job I work in purchasing for a distributor. And we sell things like toilet paper, cleaning chemicals, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, etc. So basically all the things that are in high demand right now! It’s so crazy and we literally cannot keep anything in our warehouse. As soon as something comes in, it goes right back out. I’ve never seen anything like it! Last week, we re-did some things and they literally took off my plate about 70% of what my job should entails….and I still can’t keep up!

I have a feeling that next week is going to be even worse with all these new stipulations that keep popping up daily. And Kurt works in the logistics world, so he is even busier than I am. Let’s just say the last two weeks have flown by! And I don’t see it easing up anytime soon. We spent this past weekend trying to relax and getting prepared as much as we can for next week because its going be a lot of long hours for both of us! How are you handling the coronavirus?

BBG Workouts

I started back up with my BBG workouts and I will be starting week 4 this week. I’m determined to finish the twelve week program this time around. The last time I did this workout was a couple of years ago and I got to weeks 8 or 9 and had to stop because we were starting IVF.

We are currently on a break from IVF which was decided on before this whole virus fiasco, but now I’m so glad we decided to take some time off. First off, my body very much needs it. And second, this virus has me a bit freaked out. What if I were to take meds for two weeks only to find out my cycle was canceled because my clinic closed or worse, I ended up with this virus. It’s a chance right now we aren’t willing to take. And did I mention how busy I was at work?! I think my boss would kill me if I asked for anytime off right now!

Anyway, BBG is one of the only workouts that I’ve ever seen noticeable results from, even in the short time I did it. I could see my body change and I felt so strong and healthy. I’m excited to finally complete the full 12 weeks this go around! I wrote this post about how to get started with BBG and this one on how to stay motivated in case you wanted more information.

I also love how simple and easy the workouts are. And I mean easy in the way of connivence. The workouts themselves are defiantly NOT easy. My goal the first couple of weeks has just been to complete each workout. Legs day is always the hardest and for the first week, I could barely walk! You can literally do the workouts anywhere. It’s easier if you have a bench and a few weights, but you can always improvise. And it’s super cheap- its around $20 a month which is way less than any gym membership I’ve ever had!

A New Instagram Account to Follow

Ok, I have this tiny obsession with this new Instagram account I found. @juliaroseboston sells luxury items like handbags, scarves, jewelry, shoes, etc. at a fraction of the price. Some items are brand new, some are pre-owned, but they are all gorgeous! Think Chanel, YSL, Louis Vuitton and many more. Watch her Instagram stories and you will become hooked! She does these unboxing videos that are seriously so addicting! I’ve always dreamed of owning a Chanel bag and would 100% buy from her. New Spring Items

I wanted to share a few spring items I’ve had my eye on. The weather in Chicago has been so nice and it appears that we might actually have a real Spring this year- fingers crossed!

How adorable are these wedges? I’m obsessed! They sold out in my size so now of course I really love them. And I’ve been stalking them just waiting for them to come back into stock in my size.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more perfect bag for spring and summer! I’ve been obsessing over this majorly. I would probably end up buying the natural/ivory combo, but I also really like blue combo.

How adorable is this top?! I love the light pink color and all the ruffles. Would be so cute for date night or even to wear to work.

I love to wear white shoes to work this time of year and I’ve had my eye on this pair. Sperry shoes are always so, so comfortable.
