A Few Things Lately.... | Cashmere & Jeans

Hi everyone! I know I’ve been a little MIA lately so I wanted to update you on a few things lately and what’s been going on recently!

Halloween

Our dog park in our old neighborhood puts on the best dog Halloween party every year and of course we had to take Addie. This year we dressed her up like a pumpkin! She pretty much hated every second of it, but that doesn’t stop Kurt or I haha. It was actually really cute because the hood was a little big on her and every time she would bend over to sniff something the hood would cover her eyes and she would get so mad.

The day of her party it ended up being 60 degrees out and beautiful! She got to play in the dog park with all of the other dogs that were dressed up. They also had a palm reader and she got her paw read. And they told her she was a snuggler which is kind of funny because she has been extra snuggly lately. And she got to bop for bones in the hay. The one thing we didn’t end up doing because the line was too long was getting a character drawing done. Next year we will get there early enough to get this done because it looked super cute! It was packed and beautiful out so it was the perfect day. And you couldn’t help but smile at all of the cut dogs dressed up in their Halloween costumes.

I have used her foundation (I’m shade 3.5) and this primer (I’m shade Light) for a while now and I’ve slowly started replacing all of my makeup with this line because I love it all so much. Her products make your glow and are very natural looking which I can appreciate. I picked up a new blush in shade Sex on Fire and also her setting powder (I got shade Medium) during the sale and I can’t wait to try them out. Hair Extensions Update

A few weeks ago I got my hair done again and had my extensions taken out and put back in. The process was much simpler than I thought it would be. Although when she took them out, that wasn’t the best feeling. It kind of hurt because she was pulling on my hair to loosen up the glue, but it didn’t take that long so it was over quickly. It felt so crazy to have them out for only a few hours. My hair felt sooo light and like I had no hair. It was kind of crazy and I was excited to get them put back in. It’s funny how you really get used to something. Overall the process of taking them out and having them put back in only added maybe an extra 30 minutes to the usual time it takes to get my hair done. You have to do this every 6-8 weeks because your natural hair grows out and you want the extension to be as close to your root as it can be. I’ve still been very, very happy with my extensions and I plan on keeping them until my real hair is long again!

Christmas Decor

I ended up putting my Christmas decor up last weekend so here is a sneak peak!! Yes I fully admit I’m one of those crazies who jumps straight from Halloween to Christmas. But its so much work to put it all up and I want to enjoy it for as long as I can. I will be sharing a full post on my decor when I get it all done. I still have a few more things I want to pick up this year.

Oh and I almost forgot to add that today is my birthday- so happy birthday to me!!! Kurt and I celebrated over the weekend by going out to dinner. We went to Gibsons Italia which is right now on the river. While the view was gorgeous, the food wasn’t my favorite. But we still had a lot of fun. The restaurant was back in our old neighborhood and its just crazy to see how much has changed since we moved. I mean there are a ton of new buildings and construction going on everywhere. It really made me miss it to be honest. I LOVED our old neighborhood, but we also love things about our new neighborhood as well. I wish I could morph the two together somehow.
