It’s that time of year again! The Sephora VIB Sale has just begun and it’s one of my favorite sales of the season!! Why because makeup hardly ever goes on sale! So when it finally does, I get supper excited……and I stock up.
What is the Sephora VIB Sale?
First up, I want to explain how this sale works because there are a couple of different dates and tiers as to when you can shop. It’s already been going on for a bit but not everyone can shop. First, you have to sign up for the Beauty Insider Membership and that’s completely free. Once you’re a member it tracks how much you spend in store and online and this determines when and what your discount will be during these sales. Once you spend a minimum of $350 after signing up, you move to the next level of VIB status. And once you spend over $1000 you get upgraded to the Rouge membership which is the highest status.
The sale has already started but only if you’ve made it to the Rouge status tier (which means you really like your beauty products ha). If you’ve met this status you’ve been able to shop since October 26th and you get 20% off your order with code ROUGEBONUS

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter

Right after I cleanse and moisturize my face (my full skincare routine is here), this is the first product that I start with. I dab a few swatches all over my face and blend with a damp beautyblender. This helps to keep my makeup in place for the whole day and also does a great job at combatting shine all day. I love this product! I use shade 2 Light.

Seriously one of the best foundations out there! I’ve been using it for about four years now and I just love it! The makeup artist used this on me at my friend’s wedding and my skin looked flawless that day. I ran out the next day and had to buy myself a bottle of this. It’s awesome because it is super lightweight and your skin can breathe. Yet, if you still want a heavier coverage, it is buildable. So you get the look of full coverage makeup, but it doesn’t look cakey or too thick on your skin. About a year ago I couldn’t find my shade anywhere and I was panicking that they had discontinued the line. Gladly after a few months it was re-stocked everywhere, but I was sweating for a bit haha! I’m shade 201 Linen.

I couldn’t find this item anywhere on Sephora’s site but they sell the brand so I know you can get it there. I still wanted to share it because this concealer is the best I’ve used and if you are shopping in stores this week you can still pick it up. Or you can shop it here on Ulta’s site. It is a heavy coverage but literally covers anything! Which is why I love it so much. I found that using a damp beautyblender with this is best because it allows it to go on a little easier and not so thick. I’m shade Light.

I completely forgot to include this item in my photo but that isn’t because I don’t use it… or love it! This is the best setting power. I swipe just the tiniest bit all over my face with a giant powder brush once I’ve completed my makeup and it helps to reduce shine and keep all my makeup in place.

Literally the best bronzer. This item has been part of my makeup routine for years now and I’m not giving it up anytime soon. It’s a great color for us fair skinned beauties and doesn’t make my skin look too tan or too orange. I use shade Laguna.

I actually bought this a couple of months ago when Sephora did a surprise sale. I needed a new blush for fall and decided after reading the reviews I would try this one since I love their concealer so much. This blush does not disappoint either. It is highly pigmented and you only need the tiniest bit on your brush. The color I use is Paaarty (cute name right?!).

I’ve never tried this brand or even used a highlighter before so this is completely new to me! This was another item I decided to try a couple of months ago when Sephora had a secret sale. I swipe a little on my cheeks, nose and forehead and it gives you this beautiful glow! I’m kind of obsessed now with highlighters. I use the color Lightening Dust/Fire Crystal.

When my brows need a little oomph I use this pencil to fill them in for that dramatic brow. I love that look! I usually get my eyebrows tinted darker but since that doesn’t last very long, once it wears off I will use this pencil to fill them in to get that same look. This product is fool proof and so easy to use. Since the pencil is thin enough you can’t make a mistake. The color I use is Medium Brown.

I was in need of a brow gel because I was getting so frustrated that the hairs wouldn’t stay in place. And this stuff keeps them in place without that super sticky feeling. I’ve used products in the paste where my eyebrows feel like they are glued to my face and I don’t get that at all with this product, yet they actually stay in place. This is a must for the perfect, bold brow!

Literally the best mascara I’ve ever used! I won’t use anything else and neither will you once you’ve tried it. It lengthens and thickens and if you put three coats on- you look like you are wearing falsies. Over the years I’ve tried all brands of mascaras from cheap to high end (my most recent favorite was a drug store brand) and this is by far the best. I’m a repeat buyer for life.

And this was the last item I bought during the last Sephora sale and I’ve been using it ever since. I dab a little of this in the corner of my eyes and it gives them the perfect highlight and makes them look bigger. This makes your eyes look wide awake minus the large cup of coffee! I use color Light to Medium.
What’s in My Cart
And it wouldn’t be a sale if I didn’t buy myself anything! Here is what I’ve got in my cart now.
- I’m for sure buying another beautyblender. They get kind of gross and as often as I wash mine, I just can’t seem to get it completely clean. They make your makeup go on so much smoother and more even. I’m hooked!
- I will be re-purchasing this foundation (I’m shade 3.5). When my Dior foundation was completely sold out about a year ago, I had to try a new one. I mean I can’t go without foundation. So I tried this one and didn’t realize how much I really liked it until the bottle was completely out. It really helped to keep my shine at bay. I would come home at the end of the day during the summer months after sweating all day and my face would hardly have any shine. I’m torn because I still really like my Dior but I also really like this one too! I plan on keeping both on hand so I can switch back and forth depending on my mood.
- I’m almost out of my mascara and I wouldn’t dare try a new one so I’m stocking up on this one!
- I use this hair mask about once a week. I’ve been growing out my hair for years now. About two years ago a hair dresser gave me the worst haircut of my life- read more about it here, and ever since then I’ve been growing it out. This product helps to strengthen my hair so it doesn’t break off as it grows. Being a blonde is hard work so I use this to keep it looking healthy.

And now is the perfect time to start stocking up on gifts. I know it seems early but I always say I’m going to start my shopping early and then the weeks fly by and Christmas is here before I know it. Here are some really great gifting ideas if you need any. And what better time to buy them then when they are on sale?!
I’m limiting myself on what I purchase during this sale because I’ve gone a little crazy lately with the shopping. I’ve had so much fun decorating my apartment for Christmas this year- I can’t wait to show you how it turned out! And I really bought a lot of items the last sale they had a few months ago, so I don’t need much right now. What will you be buying?
