J.Crew Pink Bow Shorts - Cashmere & Jeans

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me trying on these J.Crew pink bow shorts a few weeks ago on Instagram stories. I was a little on the fence about them at first. But I have seen them on a few bloggers and they are so cute! So I decided to keep them and I am so glad I did. Once I figured out what top to pair them with, I knew these would be a perfect summer staple. For reference I did size up one size, but I typically do in shorts. It’s a personal preference, but I don’t like when they are tight around my thighs.

I love the added detail of the bow which makes them feminine. And I really like that these can be a little dressier for a nice dinner. Or these would be perfect for a dressier day event like a graduation party or even a baby shower.

With these shorts I decided to pair it with my favorite white button up from Banana Republic. When I first started my current job about two years ago, I needed some more basics in my closet and I bought this blouse in three basic colors (white, blue and black) and I wear them all the time. I did size up one size because the top is a little more fitted and it was hard to button in my normal size. And if you know me- if there is a collar, I will pop it! I love how preppy this look turned out!

And how amazing is this wall!?!? Kurt found this one day while he was on a walk in Fulton Market with Addie and he said he had the perfect backdrop. Once he described the wall to me, I knew this outfit would be perfect!
