We just got back from a wonderful spring break vacation. It was equal parts fun and relaxing. And I know the kids all had an absolute blast. We went to Indian Rocks, FL which is about 30 minutes from Clearwater. And I was so impressed! We found a huge house right on the beach for our entire family. Kurt’s two brothers, wives, kids and grandparents all went so we had 15 people total! The house was a little more old but honestly it was the perfect location and being right on the beach was incredible.
The beach was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been too espeically within the US. The sand was white and incredible. And I was really amazed at how calm the ocean was. My daughter even went swimming in the ocean one day when it was really hot because the waves were so calm. She is a very cautious swimmer. The water was beautiful too and so clear. The house had everything we needed for a fun beach day- toys for the kids to play with, beach chairs, towels, etc. Add sunscreen and we were all set!
By the way I really loved this sunscreen I bought for this trip. I am old school and prefer a lotion to the spray because I think you get better coverage with it. We didn’t burn so I think that is a win! I also did grab this spray lotion which I used when Sloane was covered in sand lol. Which happened a lot! I also used this face sunscreen and would re-purchase this all. It was really easy and smooth to go on. Plus no one burned.
What I Wore for Spring Break
Travel Outfit #1

Outfit linked here– This is what I wore on our flight. I usually like to be comfy on a flight but it was nice out and I just felt like getting dressed up a little. I was still really comfy. These shoes are incredible and one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I own. We took a 2pm flight and I love that timeframe so much. You aren’t rushed in the mornings or super tired from waking up at 3am lol. It so nice to get a full nights rest the in your own bed the night before you start vacation.
Beach Day #1

Outfit linked here– Our first day on the beach! This is my favorite swimsuit I’ve ever owned. I resisted for so many years because of the price, but I would spend it again (I really want a white one next!). It makes you feel confident but it just so comfy, easy to move in. It’s a great mom suit for chasing the kids but I also feel great in it.
Dinner Outfit #1

Outfit linked here– We cooked dinner our first night and watched the sunset while the kids played in the sand. I ordered These shorts right before we left and I was really excited they delivered in time. This print is so cute and I love the dark brown color of them. These will be great to take you right into those warm fall days. I also have to mention my lace up sandals– seriously the most comfortable pair of sandals I own. I don’t know how they do it. Would buy these again and again! I also really love this under $50 cotton sweater that I have had for a few years now. It’s perfect for those chilly summer nights.
Morning Outfit

Outfit linked here– I really needed a breather from the kids and all of the people (we had 15 total in our house!) so I went on a long walk by myself and this is what I wore. The brand kindly gifted me this skirt (has built in shorts too) and I have been so excited to wear it 🙂
Beach Day #2

Outfit linked here– Another day on the beach while the guys and my MIL played golf. My suit is from last season but they just came out with this pretty light blue version! I took my true size in it. Also, these are my favorite flip flops. The more you wear them, the comfier they get because they mold to your feet. Mine are a few years old and I probably need a new pair, but I can’t part with them because they fit me just right.
Dinner Outfit #2

Outfit linked here– We took the kids on the trolley to a big outdoor shopping mall and also had dinner and ice cream there. I grabbed these pants right before my trip and I love them so much. They are so cute dressed down with a tee. But I also can’t wait to wear them more dressed up with a flat and a jacket. They are also super comfy and breezy- not hot at all.
Daytime Outfit #1

Outfit linked here– Our last full day. We split the day by going out to lunch and having some wine on the patio and then we headed to the beach for a few hours. One of my favorite dresses from last year that they updated ever so slightly this year- the colors are a little different. It is so easy to throw on and go and look cute. I wore this a ton last summer.
Beach Day #3

Outfit linked here– This was my new suit (top and bottom) and cover up (top and shorts) and I absolutely love it so much. I can’t wait to wear this again when the weather warms up. It is such a ‘me’ outfit! One of my fav brands- they also have the best sweaters too! I’m mad I didn’t wear this on one of the days we spent the whole day at the beach but you live and learn and I will wear it again this summer.
Dinner Outfit #3

Outfit linked here– Our last night we walked down the street to Monstah Lobstah and had lobsters rolls that were divine!! It was a fun evening 🙂 I adore yellow and was really excited to find these affordable shorts. I also plan to wear them with my new Minnow suit linked above.
Travel Outfit #2

Outfit linked here– I may have been more dressed up on the plane to FL, but going home I was all about comfort! This might be my new favorite tee that I picked up before my trip. It is loose and slightly oversized and super cute and soft. It is going to look really cute with a pair of jeans too. I changed into sneakers once we got to the airport
Beach Bag

Bag linked here– I brought this beach bag with me that the brand gifted me with and I just adore that bow!! Even though we stayed right on the beach, this was nice to have to corral all of our things and have them all in one spot.
That is all! Can’t wait to do it all again next year 🙂
