How to Wear the Tie-Dye Trend in a Preppy Way

Today’s post is all about how to wear the tie-dye trend! Have you tried it yet?! I’m actually kind of shocked that I’ve jumped on this trend so quickly. I’m not usually one to try trends so quickly, but I found this trend to appeal to a multitude of people, including my preppy self!

I think the first rule of business when you are trying out a new trend, is to stick a silhouette that you wear a lot of. My closet is filled with button down tops. I love how you can wear them in so many different ways. You can wear them to the office, untucked causally with jeans, half tucked with jean shorts and even with a few buttons undone for a sexier look for date night. I knew my first order of business if I was going to feel comfortable with the tie-dye trend was to stick to a silhouette I knew and loved.

Next, I say stay in the color family that you typically wear. I’m always drawn to pinks. And while a lot of my closet is pretty neutral these days, I love to add a few colorful pieces to my wardrobe especially for spring/summer.

So how perfect is this top?! I love that I’m on trend right now. But I feel confident because its a top I would normally wear anyway. I already know I will get so much wear out of this top. And I personally can’t wait to pair it with my favorite white pair of jeans. It’s definantely on the thinner side so it will be perfect for those breezy summer days.
