Best Gifts for Him + Happy Birthday to my Hubby

Today is my husband’s Kurt birthday and while I know this is a blog targeted to women, I have to show some love to the hubby!  He is, after all the photographer behind this blog! And let’s be serious, we are the ones who are shopping for the men in our lives anyway.  First off, I have rounded up some of the best gifts for him, in case your bf, fiancé or husband has a birthday coming up of you just want to spoil him a little!  Kurt owns a lot of this stuff, so it’s tried and true!

1. Vineyard Vines Polo– I just ordered Kurt a few of these and they are the best polos!  They fit so nice and are really good quality.  They will last forever.
2. Ray-Ban Sunglasses– Kurt owns these exact pair (I’ve actually had to buy him a few pairs now!) and they look so good on  him.  Make sure you pay the extra money and get the polarized version.  They are worth the extra money- trust me!
3. Brixton Hat– Kurt is always on the hunt for new baseball hats and I love that this one is navy (the best color!).
4. Sperry Sneaker– I bought these for Kurt and he loves them.  The perfect sneaker for summer and to wear with shorts.  They run very large so size down a whole size.  I had to buy Kurt 4 pairs before we got his size right!
5. Bose Headphone– I own these earbuds and use them all everyday.  They are so comfy in your ears and the sound is great.  Can’t beat anything by Bose!
6. Herschel Backpack– Kurt carries a backpack to work every morning to fit all of his random stuff and carry his lunches.  You can’t beat this one at $60.
7. Bose Mini Bluetooth Speaker– This little guy has THE best sound.  I mean it really pumps it out!  This is perfect for vacation and travel and we use ours all the time.  I would recommend a silicone cover over it because ours has gotten a little beaten up over the years.
8. Shinola Watch– Shinola makes the best watches.  I recently just bought this one for myself and I wear it all the time.  I love the story behind the brand and I will support anything that is Detroit based!
9. Vineyard Vines Shirt– Kurt has a few button downs by this brand and he loves them.  And I love the preppy prints that they make.  This shirt is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- so get it while it’s on sale!
10. Coffee Mug–  Kurt takes coffee to work every morning and this travel mug is perfect!

Also, in honor of his birthday, I wanted to give him a little shout out and fill you in on 9 things you might not know about him.  He is the best husband and fur-baby daddy there ever was!   Here it goes:

1. He is overly obsessed with our animals, but you might have already known this about him.  Actually when I asked him what you wanted for his birthday, he said he wanted to spoil Addie all day and spend the day together with her.  How cute is that?!?  So this Saturday, we are taking Addie to a doggy pool where she can swim and play with the other pups.  This one should be interesting!  Be sure to follow along on Instagram stories!
2. He is the funniest person I know and I seriously laugh all the time at him.  Lately, he has had so much energy in the mornings.  While I am making my breakfast he is doing high kicks and running around the kitchen.  Where he get’s this energy at 6am, no one will know.  Or there was also the morning he only spoke to me with a French accent.  I mean, who does that lol?!?!
3. Kurt has the biggest heart you will ever find in a person.  One of our first dates together was in downtown Detroit at a pizza place.  We had a ton of leftovers because we ordered way too much food.  As we were walking to our car, a homeless person stopped us and asked for money or food.  And just like that Kurt gave this man our leftovers.  It’s something that always stuck in my mind because he will do anything for anyone in need.
4. I know I already said this in #1, but Kurt is really obsessed with our animals and Charlie deserves his own bullet point because he is Kurt’s favorite.  Charlie is our white haired cat that everyone loves, mostly because he is more like a dog than a cat.  Kurt and Charlie have a special bond and Kurt is always ranking our animals.  Charlie will always be in the #1 spot and some days I even think Charlie is more important than me!!!
5. He plays Mr. Mom during the week.  Kurt does almost everything around the house, especially during the week.  He feeds Addie, walks her, makes dinner and even cleans.  Most days when I get home, there is nothing around the house I even need to do!
6. Kurt has an unhealthy obsession with Snickers.  In fact, he sneaks them into the grocery cart every week when we are shopping.  And he almost always has a bag of them at his desk.
7. He could eat the same thing every day for the rest of his life.  In fact he basically does..  Every morning he eats a big veggie omelet and every day for lunch is the same salad (unless I make him one of my delicious quinoa bowls!).  And I think he would eat the same thing for dinner every night if it weren’t for me (I need some variety!).
8. Kurt has an unhealthy obsession with chocolate.  I mean the boy loves his chocolate.  Hence his obsession with Snickers.
9. He loves to vacuum.  Maybe it’s because we have 3 animals living in an apartment or he just really loves to vacuum.  He pulls that thing out every other day and even when we clean on the weekends, he always wants to vacuum.  I’m definitely not complaining on this one!
