I don’t know why, but I have had summer clothing on my mind a lot lately! It has finally warmed up a bit. And by that, I mean it’s in the 40s. But the other day is was so nice, even the birds were chirping and the sun was out. I told Kurt it felt like Spring! I think I am just really excited for summer this year. We plan to spend the majority of our time at the pool. Last year, Sloane was still taking two naps a day and it was just hard to get out of the house sometimes. Looking back, I probably didn’t need to be so strict or on such a rigid schedule. At the time it worked for us.
So this summer, I am really excited to spend our weekends at the pool and have already been thinking about my outfits. Or if you are going on vacation- these are great vacation outfits to wear on your trip that will take you into summer. Here are some items I’ve bought or saved:
Vacation Outfits
Shirtdress-I bought this and got it about a week ago and keep forgetting to try it on! I thought this would so cute to wear as a coverup to and from the pool. Easy, breeze and chic.
Eyelet Dress-If you could describe the perfect summer dress, I think it would be this one. I am so in love! Those tie bow straps š And doesn’t it just look so comfy when it’s hot and humid out?!
Ruffle One Piece Suit– I adore this one piece and plan on purchasing it!
Patterned Top & Shorts– This is a brand I discovered a few months ago (same as the white dress above) and I am head over heels for this top and short combo! The one thing that doesn’t make sense to me is the pricing on the pieces. How can the top be $158, but the shorts only $78? That doesn’t really make sense to me- shouldn’t they be closer in price. Either way, I know it’s a little splurge, but it’s something I would wear a ton of. To the pool, daytime, looks comfy to chase a toddler in, birthday parties, BBQ’s and even date night.
Pink One Piece– This is another suit I have on my wish list and plan on ordering. I want a hot pink suit this summer and found this one at a very affordable price.
Flip Flops– I have a pair of black flip flops I wear all the time. But I don’t wear a ton of black in the summertime so I hate that I never know what to wear on my feet for a casual feel. Enter these flips flops. Problem solved.
Straw Hat– I ordered and have received this hat and it is the most adorable thing ever. I remember seeing this last year and just never ordered it so I’m excited it’s back this year. I got the M/L, but probably could have sized down to the S/M.
Sunglasses-I’ve wanted these for years and have just never bought them. The shape is really cute on.
Straw Tote-Everyone needs a cute tote to throw all the things in to carry to the pool.
Denim Shorts– I’ve had the original version of these shorts for years and I can attest they are the best ever. They came out with this longer version maybe a couple of years ago. And I actually bought them last year and ended up returning them. I didn’t think there was that much of a difference lengthwise and I thought I would be ok with the ones I already owned. Well, I regretted that decision all summer when I was bending over a million times picking up a baby. I wont’ be making that same mistake this year!
