We had the best time celebrating Halloween with Sloane this year! It was so fun to see it thru her eyes. She first noticed when I put her treat bag out. And she kept pointing to it and wanting to touch it haha. Over the weekend our downtown had a fun event for all the kids to go trick or treating. And it was gorgeous which was a nice surprise! She was so cute dressed up in her chick costume. I think she secretly really liked it haha.
Her school sent her home with a big bag of goodies and she loved spreading them all over the floor and trying to open them. It was so cute! And kept her busy for awhile so that was a nice little break haha. And I gave her some tastes of candy and just kept wanting more and more. But who can blame her.
On actual Halloween we took her out trick-or-treating and she had a lot of fun looking at the decorations and seeing all the other kids dressed up. We really need to step up our game next year because our neighborhood really goes all out for the holiday!
And now that we have officially moved onto the holiday season, I am debating putting my tree up! I’m always early but this year I said I was going to wait. But now that it is here, I just want it up so I can enjoy it. Since it’s going to be hard this year with Sloane moving around, I might just do ribbon and tree picks on my tree- no ornaments. So then she can’t break them and I don’t have to watch her constantly. I actually think it would look really pretty and simple!
Here are some things I’ve found while shopping lately:
- I have been really into cooking lately and it is all because I bought this meal plan. I was sick of coming up with ideas, so I decided to buy this and the recipes are so delicious! They are easy to make and so flavorful. And I like that they are dinners I wouldn’t normally make or think to make. You also use all the ingredients you buy so nothing goes to waste! I bought volume 1 and it is more geared towards summer dinners, but still so good! I do plan to buy volume 2 and also the Fall and Winter collection. It makes me so excited to meal plan and cook each week! Also makes a really cute gift idea if you are looking for something inexpensive. I know she also has some Thanksgiving recipes and holiday recipes in the works that I am excited to try. My fridge has never been so full lately, but I am just loving it!
- I just got this jacket (I got the green) in the mail and I love it so much. I thought it would be cute with jeans, but also leggings. And it is a lot warmer than it looks so I know I will wear it a ton. JCrew always has the best outerwear. I’ve always had good luck with them.
- I’ve been really loving this blazer lately in the camel and I can’t stop thinking about it! Would be so cute for Thanksgiving with leggings and black over the knee boots.
- I absolutely love everything about this sweater! The perfect blend of cozy with sophistication. I know I would wear this one so much.
- I’ve had my eye on this pair of jeans. The wash is perfection and I just know the fit would be perfect too.
- This is a splurge, but how gorgeous is this jacket?!
- This is the perfect holiday dress. Would be so cute for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- The cutest plaid dress for toddler girls! If I didn’t already order Sloane one for Christmas, this is the one I would be ordering.
- I recently ordered Sloane this learning tower and I am really excited for her to use it. Since I have been cooking a lot more lately, we have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Well Sloane gets fussy and I think its mainly because she can’t see what is going on. I’ve learned to distract her and let her play in the Tupperware drawer or the dish towel drawer. But I’m excited for her to be able to stand with me in the kitchen and see what I am doing and cooking. And maybe help a little bit. All of the other towers I’ve found are $200 and I just didn’t want to spend that. This one is under $50 and has great reviews!
- I used to own a pair of these slippers and now they are back in stock. I used to love mine so much because they have a hard sole so you can wear them outside if you need to. Would be a great gift idea!
- I recently had to replenish Sloane’s shampoo and this is the one we love. The smell is just too good! I’ve tried others but nothing compares to the smell of this one.
- This flower book would make such a cute gift! I love the simplicity of it.
