I didn’t think I could ever choose a ‘favorite’ age for Sloane. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each stage of motherhood, rather it be easy or hard. And I’ve really tried to soak it all in. Sloane is now 13 months old- and I have to admit- this is my favorite age right now!
She is this budding little person. Recently she moved into the toddler room at school so a lot of the kids in her class are a little older. And doing more things, like walking, talking, etc. Every day when she comes home, I am more and more amazed at what she is learning!
She is such a little cuddle monster! And loves to give hugs and is always trying to snuggle up in your lap. She will jump thru hoops to grab her toy and then cuddle up in your lap with it haha. She has the biggest smile and you can tell she is genuinely a happy little girl. Her giggle right now is the funniest! It’s a mix between a laugh and a cackle and it sounds hilarious, which makes it even more funny.
She is curious about everything and has recently learned to point. When we go on our daily walks, she points at everything and I always tell her what it is that she is pointing at. It’s so cute to see that tiny little finger pointing at everything! She’s more engaged during our walks too and I can tell she is taking in her surroundings.
We aren’t quite walking yet, but I know it will be soon. She is gliding across furniture with ease and gets stronger and stronger by the day. When we walk with her, she is running! The other day when I picked her up from school, the teacher held her hands and she walked towards me. It was the cutest thing.
Every day when I pick up from school, she gets the biggest smile on her face to see me! And it melts my heart. Drop off is another story. She’s been crying when I hand her off to the teacher and it makes me feel so bad for leaving her some days. I think it’s just an act because I always check her on the camera when I get home and she’s already on to playing. Already tugging at my heart strings!
Last weekend Kurt went up north with some friends to play golf and it was just Sloane and I. And it was the absolute best weekend. I really got to spend time with her, work with her and of course cuddle with her. I know we are a nation of always being on the go. But it was so incredibly nice to have not one single plan and just spend time together.
Ok, enough sappy stories about Sloane haha. Here are some cute items that have caught my eye this week!
- Everlane makes some of my favorite sweaters. Some I’ve owned for years now and I still get excited to get them out every years. This one is one of my favorites and I am really loving the new blue color!
- I think these flats are so cute! Would be so cute with a pair of cropped, wide leg denim and a sweater.
- Adore these boots, especially the color. And they are a great price.
- Monica + Andy launched their Halloween collection last week and ekkkk it’s so cute!! I got Sloane this top and matching pants. And my mom got her this top to wear with a pair of black leggings and this sweatshirt for Thanksgiving. I just got this all in the mail and it’s even more adorable in person!
- I love everything about this sweater! I swear everything I have been loving lately is $$$, so I think I am going to have to pick a few things this season to splurge on!
- I’m really intrigued by this stroller. I’ve seen videos on it where it folds up incredibly easy and it is super lightweight. We have this one and while I do love it. It can be heavy and hard to maneuver. In a perfect world, I would keep our Uppababy in the garage to use on our daily walks and this one in my trunk for running errands, etc. It also looks like it would take up so much less trunk space which would make it nice for travel too. And the one thing makes this stroller even more amazing- the car seat can click into it! I kind of wish I would have known about this option when we registered for ours. Either way, I do love the stroller we have!
- I’m dying to try something from this brand. What is more classic than a striped long sleeve tee?! Everyone raves about this one too.
- My skin has been so dry so I’ve been on a quest to find a new moisturizer which is not an easy task. Someone I know recommended this one. And wow, the smell is unbelievable. Usually I will take a non scent over anything, but this feels so luxurious and like you are at the spa. I really want to make it work just because I love the scent so much!

- How comfy does this lounge set look? It looks perfect for Fall!
- I really want to get Sloane this music box for Christmas. I see it all over Instagram and all the kids just love it. A really cute gift idea if you are starting your shopping early!
- My favorite brand of sleepers for Sloane just launched their holiday collection. And while it feels very early- I am still probably going to order her a pair haha. I can’t decide between the tartan or the holiday hounds.
- Sloane loves to read books and I always love to have seasonal ones for her. This one is new and we love all of the other books, so I think she might need it for her collection.
- These are my favorite leggings, even more so than the expensive Lululemon ones! And they are a quarter of the price. I really like this tan color for the upcoming Fall season.
