It is that time of year again- time for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021! Doesn’t it seem early this year?! I swear every year it feels early, but this year seems even earlier. Anyway, if you don’t already know you can view all of the items included in the sale here. I looked thru everything because that is just what I do and came up with my wish list.
Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed with the sale this year. There are tons of repeats from years past. And I really hate the tiered shopping that they started last year. Basically, the more you spend on your Nordstrom card throughout the year, the earlier you get to shop the sale. Last year, by the time I was able to shop so much that I was planning on buying was already sold out. So it kind of just put a bad taste in my mouth! Last year was sort of a weird year, so I’m hoping they have ample inventory this year.
I’m going into the sale with an open mind. And while I have these items on my wish list, I’m fully expecting a lot of them to be sold out. I didn’t do a lot of shopping at Nordstrom this past year, mostly because every time I would go to order something- it was sold out! So I actually dropped a tier in shopping and can’t shop until tomorrow.
My recommendation if you are planning on shopping the sale is to sort thru everything, create a wish list and add items to your wish list. Once you get the green light to shop, you can easily add the items from your wish list to your cart and BOOM- checkout very easily.

PJ sets- My plan for the sale is to stock up on lots of pj’s which I know I will be living in for a few weeks once baby is here. Every year I pick up a pair of these and I love leopard print they are offering this year. I’m also going to get a pair of the short set and I love this pretty lavender/pink color. I’ve heard your hormones can be all over the place so I might want this for warmer nights. And everyone always says you need a nightgown for the hospital. I’m not typically a nightgown type of person, but I’m going to try it out! And I love this set. It looks nice enough to wear if people want to come over, but doesn’t scream pajamas.
Nude Sandal– We have a wedding we will be attending when I will be 38 weeks pregnant- AKA two weeks before my due date! I’ve been on the hunt for a lower heel that is comfy and I think this one fits the bill. I also might end up in flat sandals at that point in my pregnancy haha. Heels might be a little much, but these are really cute regardless.
Nike Sweatshirt– Sticking to my comfy theme. I missed out on this sweatshirt last year because it sold out so fast and I’m really glad they brought it back this year. It looks really cute with leggings and sneakers. And I know I would wear this a ton.
Leopard Blanket– The hype is real on these blankets!! I bought one a few years ago during the sale and for whatever reason it has small little holes in it now. I really think it’s because of our washer we had living in Chicago and not because the quality is poor. But I do also use my blanket alllll the time. During work, I wrap up in in when I’m chilly and I take naps with it on the weekends and also cozy up with it every night. I love that thing! I’ve had my eye on the leopard print one for a while so I’m going to replace my current one. If the leopard print sells out, I plan to grab this pink one.
Kiehl’s Hand Lotion– This is an item that is included every year in the sale and I always stock up on it. Truly, the best hand lotion out there. It has zero scent, is not greasy feeling and relives your dry, cracked hands. This is a must for me especially during the winter time.
Moroccan Oil– Kurt loves this stuff and uses it in his hair every day so I’m actually grabbing this for him! The smell truly is amazing.
DryBar Dry Shampoo– My go to dry shampoo! Last year I bought this big bottle too during the sale and it lasted sooo long. I remember thinking, is this thing every going to run out?! So I will be stocking up on this again during the sale.
Combat Boots– I just think these are so cute and I love the color of them. Would be adorable with a black sweater and dark jeans for Fall!
Socks– Oh these socks are the best! And by my favorite brand, Barefoot Dreams. I bought a pair last year during the sale and lived in them all winter long so I’m going to grab these this year. Your feet will thank you come January!
Floral Dress– I just think this is so cute for Fall. And it’s something you could wear with sandals now on chillier Summer nights. And then wear with booties as the temps start to drop. I also like that it is nursing friendly- which is something I’ve been trying to be more conscious of!
Sweater– I LOVE this sweater! Typically I think it’s silly to buy sweaters during the sale, but that is just my personal opinion. Usually by the time it cools down and you can wear the said sweater you bought at the sale, it’s typically already marked down by then. But this one I will make an exception for! It looks like a really expensive sweater that I have wanted for years. I am just hoping it doesn’t sell out super fast, which I have a feeling it will 🙁
I didn’t think there were many things I was going to purchase during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021, but after putting this list together- I think I’ve done alright!
