All Time Favorite 5 Purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Today I can finally shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!!! Anyone else? I shared over the weekend on Instagram stories that I am really disappointed in the amount of stock/items still left. I did my due diligence and created a wish list and have been adding/deleting items off of it all week. Well, so much of what I really wanted is sold out! Most of the items that are really, really good deals are already gone which I’m really sad about. It’s starting to become whoever can afford/spend the most amount of money at Nordstrom gets the best deals. I kind of figured stock would be limited this year just based off of everything that’s going on. But come on- its a sale!! Stock up and do better Nordstrom.

Ok, my rant is over haha. And maybe this is just a sign that I really didn’t need all of those items anyway. But let’s get into today’s post. I have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for about four or five years now. And there are some tried and true items that I’ve bought in past sales that I still rave about and continue to wear year after year. So let’s chat about those items because these items are worth it in my opinion!

Spanx Leggings

I’ve had my Spanx leggings now for three seasons and I promise you these are a great buy! They add a little sheen to your outfit and make a rather simple outfit a little more elevated. They are also insanely comfortable and suck you in, in all of the right places. I wear these a ton during the winter months especially when it just seems too hard to get dressed haha. They also wash up really nice. As much as I wear them, they still look and feel exactly like they did the day that I purchased them.

I am wearing a small, but if I could do it over again I would buy the small petite. They are a little long on me and bunch up near my ankles. I think the small petite would have probably been a better fit for me because they would have been shorter. I’ve actually thought about getting them hemmed, but that just seems really extra for leggings haha! They are also available in plus size here.

Ok this item is one my absolute favorite items I think I’ve ever purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I bought this last year and basically lived in it all fall/winter and even part of spring! I wear this like a robe and throw it on over my pj’s every night. It is insanely warm and oh so cozy! I didn’t want to believe the hype over this brand, but they have proved themselves to me.

I’m really happy to say that they did fix the sizing this year because mine is very oversized. My size is a S/M and at the time, that was the smallest it came in. Well this year, you can purchase XS, S, M, L, XL so I’m really happy to see that. I’ve been tempted to buy this adorable leopard print!

Another item I always pick up from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a pair of pj’s! You can’t beat the price and they are incredibly soft and cozy to wear. The best thing about these is that they do not shrink one bit! So buy your normal size or even go down a size. I am wearing a size small and they always bother me because the sleeves are too long and they are always getting in the way. So I think I might try the xs this year since I know they won’t shrink.

This year they came out with this adorable cropped pant/short sleeve set in a pink and white striped so I think this is the pair I’m going to snag this year. These also come in the long sleeve/pant version, a night shirt, short sleeve/short set and the cropped pant/short sleeve set. You can’t go wrong- I promise! Also, sorry for the wrinkles haha. These have been buried at the bottom of my drawer. I don’t usually wear them until the temps start to drop because I’m a hot sleeper.

Another must buy is a Barefoot Dreams blanket. They are the absolute warmest blankets ever! And since we are all spending so much time at home, I promise you will thank me once the temps start to dip. I cuddle up with my blanket every night- even during the summer months. Every year, I tell myself I need to buy another one so I think I might this year. I love the leopard print and also this adorable plaid version. They also make wonderful gifts if you want to get a head start on Christmas shopping!

This hand lotion is one of the most underrated items at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. For only $10 you get the absolute best hand cream that actually works. It is non-greasy and has no scent, but the best part is that it magically works to give you silky, smooth hands. This is an absolute life saver in the winter months for dry and chapped hands. And especially now that we are all constantly washing our hands so much. I have my entire family hooked on it because it actually works! I stock up on these during the sale. And in the past, I’ve also bought these as small gifts for my co-workers for Christmas!
