It’s really crazy to think that the 4th of July is here already! It is always a favorite holiday of mine. Getting together with family and friends at the lake, eating hotdogs and wearing all the red, white and blue are just a few of the many reasons I love this holiday. It’s the official start to summer. Although things look a little different for everyone this year, at least for us. We usually got to Kurt’s family’s house on a lake. But this year things got pushed out another month to keep everyone safe. Fingers crossed we will still be able to celebrate the 4th this year- just at a later date. So since things have changed up a bit this year, we decided to road trip it back to my parents house so we can see them and stock up at Costco haha!

In today’s post I wanted to share my 4th of July favorites and all the good sales that are going on right now. I like to dress a little more festive this time of year, but more on the subdued side. So here is some inspiration to dig thru your closets because I’m sure you have some red, white and blue items already that will make you feel festive for the holiday, but don’t scream over the top.

I recently bought these shorts and they are really cute on. They are on the dressier side so they make you feel a little more put together. I am also obsessed with these pj’s!! I love a good classic pair and this print is just so on point for the holiday. This time of year, I also wear a lot of hats (I usually steal them from Kurt haha!). It’s a great way to keep the sun off your face at the lake and this flag hat is just adorable (it also comes in white or navy so it’s a tough decision on what color to go with haha). I have been living in these sandals lately and you can’t beat the price at under $45! They are super comfortable and they are made of rubber so super easy to hose off the dirt or sand.

I also love to decorate my home this time of year with just a few touches. You can see my coffee table in the image above. Most of the items I picked up last year at the Target dollar section which is always a hidden gem! And I also bought some small American flags and I stick them in random places (you can see what I mean in this image and this image). And how cute is this coffee mug? I think I need to add it to my collection!
