First off, I want to thank everyone for Monday’s post. It has been a really tough experience to go thru and in the end I always knew I wanted to share it with everyone, since so many people do go thru it. And everyone’s experience with IVF is completely different. I personally love reading about everyone’s experiences with it, thru the ups and downs, which is why I felt the need to share how it has affected us. So thank you all again for being so supportive! As open as Kurt an I are with everyone about what we are going thru, it is still quite scary to put yourself out there!
Anyways, today I wanted to keep it light and talk about my fall wish list with you! Fall is my absolute favorite season of the year. The weather is perfect. I love it when it is just slightly chilly during the day but the sun is out in full force. When I think of the perfect fall day, I think about wearing an oversized sweater, jeans, sunglasses and sneakers and not feeling chilly at all! I absolutely love days like that and can’t wait until the weather cools down a bit more!
But in the meantime, I’ve been doing a ton of shopping! I always like to pick up a few things during the start of the season to get my thru and I went a little crazy a few weeks ago during all of the Labor Day sales. Hey, if I can get a deal, I’m all for it! Anyways, here are some of the items I’ve had my eye on, I’ve bought or are currently sitting in my shopping cart.

1. Dolce Vita Bootie, $149.95– I’m on the hunt for the perfect black bootie for fall and I saw these and immediately added them to my cart. I’m having a hard time finding a pair because I don’t know if I would rather have a more casual pair or more dressy pair. So many decisions! But these are a great option because they can be casual or can be bit more dressy!
2. Belt Bag, $59.00– What is everyone thinking about this trend?!? I actually bought this one and Kurt took a photo of me wearing it over the weekend and he couldn’t stop making fun of me!! He thinks the trend is ridiculous but really, what does he know about fashion? Me, I’m loving this trend!
3. Free People Wrap Minidress, $148.00– I am absolutely loving the whole dress and sneaker trend right now. I almost always gravitate towards jeans and a tee so its a little out of my comfort zone to wear dresses. I love the bold red color of this dress.
4. Turtleneck Pullover, $75.00– Do you think sweater season will ever be here, sigh? It has been so hot and humid lately in Chicago that I’m seriously wondering if it will ever cool down. But when it does I’m ordering this sweater! It is a great basic that isn’t going out of style any time soon!
5. Leopard Blouse, $79.00– Typically I don’t wear a lot of print, especially animal print but I LOVE leopard anything in the fall. I just got this blouse in the mail and I’m obsessed. It’s lightweight enough to wear now when its 90 degrees out and will be perfect later on for layering under sweaters. And it can be dressed up for date night, causal with sneakers on the weekends or worn to work. I know I will be wearing this top a ton!
6. Sam Edelman Loafer, $119.95– I bought these loafers in white back in the spring and I literally think I wore them just about every day since. They are incredibly comfortable and go with anything and everything! Originally, I thought I would splurge on the Gucci loafer for fall, but for the price, these are almost identical. Get these shoes- I promise you won’t regret it!
7. Canada Goose Jacket, $595.00– If you live in Chicago or anywhere that has harsh winters then you NEED a Canada Goose! I had my eye on this jacket last year, but couldn’t find my size anywhere so I am SO tempted to buy this one now that all sizes are stocked. This jacket is a little more lightweight than their parkas (I own this one), but I know it will still be warm. And it’s a great option if you aren’t into the fur hoods that the parkas come with. My one girlfriend is always lecturing me about mine because it’s real fur!
8. Givenchy Satchel, $2290.00– I’ve had my eye on this bag forever!!! It is just so gorgeous and every time I walk thru Saks I pick it up and hold it.
9. Marc Fisher Boot, $179.95– These booties are so chic! I find them to be adorable. I picture them with jeans, a white tee and a cute cardigan for fall.
10. Utility Jacket, $79.00– Lately I have really been into outerwear and I came across this jacket while searching Nordstrom’s selection. It would be adorable on the weekends with sneakers. I haven’t ordered it yet, but I really think I need it!
11. Sam Edelman Flat, $129.95– Once the weather cools down a bit more I am absolutely ordering these! I am so obsessed with army green right now and when I first saw these I about died! Green is a really great neutral color that pairs with a lot more than you would think. And since I lived in my white Sam Edelman loafers all spring and summer, I already know these will be super comfy as well.
12. Free People Slouchy Tunic, $148.00-I’ve almost ordering this about five times already. I was so obsessed with it last year, but, of course, it was always sold out in my size. So this year I’m not making the same mistake twice and will be ordering this tunic very soon!
13. Canada Goose Scarf, $150.00– Canada Goose is one of my favorite outerwear brands and I’ve always wanted to own a scarf by them. I’ve just always been thrown off by the steep price tag of them. But, hey, this is my wish list ok!
