Every season I like to re-think some of my beauty products and Fall is no exception.  Here is a run thru of my must haves for Fall beauty products:

Dark Lipstick

I LOVE this time of year, especially because I can pull out my deep shades of lipstick.  Some of my favs are Charlotte by Nars and La Maine Bleue by Nars.  These berry colors are perfect for this time of year.  And I love how they give you a more exotic look to you.  I recommend keeping the rest of your makeup pretty simple since these colors are such a statement.  My favorite look is wearing foundation, concealer, blush and a bold lip.  And it’s so quick and easy!

Body Butter

As the temps start to drop, my skin starts to get very dry.  And my solution for that is changing up my lotion that I use every day.  My favorite to use this time of year is Body Butter in Shea.  The smell is amazing- very clean and natural smelling.  They have all different scents, so if you like more fruity they have you covered too.  I love the thickness of this moisturizer and the easy of applying it.  It’s so luxurious, but you aren’t paying the steep price tag.

Exfoliator

My skin always goes hay wire this time of year.  I don’t know why, but every time the seasons start to change, it’s inevitable that my skin will break out.  And the one solution I have found that helps to keep my breakouts minimal is to exfoliate.  Recently, I have been using this exfoliator by Philosophy and I absolutely LOVE it.  The product gets great reviews and does exactly what is says it will do.  My skin has never looked better right now, besides a few breakouts here and there.  It has really helped to reduce blackheads and has greatly improved the texture of my skin.  What I love most about the product is that it isn’t time consuming.  I put it on my face for all of five minutes and the second it starts to feel tight on my skin I wash it off.  Other exfoliators or masks that I have used make you keep it on too long and no one has time for that!  It also doesn’t dry my skin out at all, even using it multiple times a week.  When I first started with the product, I used it twice a week and have worked my way up to 3-4 times a week.  It’s the best thing for my skin!

Shampoo and Conditioner

I read somewhere once that you should never buy the same brand or type of shampoo because your hair gets use to it and the product will stop working as efficiently as it should.  So, Fall is the perfect time to change it up!  And with the dryer temps outside your hair might need more moisture anyway.  I recently discovered BeautyCounter and decided I wanted to try their shampoo and conditioner.  Their products are very safe to use and have no harmful ingredients.  And let me tell you, I am obsessed with their products.  The smell is just amazing!!  It’s fruity, but not overbearing and still has a fresh scent to it.  I don’t know how they did it but they managed to keep the scent neutral so it appeals to people who like more fruity and people who like more clean smelling.  And it really works.  If you are interested in learning more about Beauty Counter or buying some products you can shop here.  I can’t wait to start adding more to my routine from this line!

Blush

This time of year I also love to break out my darker colors of blush.  My favorite color that I love season after season is Oasis by Nars.  It’s a deeper neutral color that pairs perfectly with your dark lipsticks for this time of year.

    I can’t wait for the temps to drop a little more down south so I’ll feel good about pulling out my darker lipsticks-that’s one of my most favorite parts about cold weather!
