My Favorite Lipsticks in Honor of #NATIONALLIPSTICKDAY

In honor of #NATIONALLIPSTICKDAY, which was on Saturday, I wanted to share with you my favorite lipsticks.  There are so many brands out there these days, but I have found some really good ones that I love and that I own in multiple shades.  So here it goes:

Nars Velvet Lip Glide– This is one of my most favorite glosses to wear.  The consistency is one of a gloss, but it has the lasting power of a lipstick.  The gloss is so hydrating, which is a must of mine when wearing lipsticks.  And the smell is sooo good.  The color is really pigmented so it packs a punch when you apply it.  I wear Unlaced everyday and I keep it in my bag.  You can see it in this post and this post.  It’s a nude/pink color that is perfect for everyday.  I always know I have this in my bag so whenever I need a little pick me up, I know I can reach for this one.  Another favorite color of mine is La Main Bleue and it’s perfect for cooler temps.  I do recommend using a lipliner with this color because it gets a little difficult to put on and stay inside your lips without one.  My favorite is this one.

YSL– This is one of my most favorite lipsticks EVER!  #7 is a light pink and can be hard to find, but when you do, snatch one up (and can you get me another one too?  I”m running low! 🙂 ).  The smell, the pigment and the packaging are all divine.  I mean you can’t go wrong with how beautiful this packaging is.  Whenever I attend a wedding or am out to a nice dinner, I always make sure to wear one of these lipsticks. I feel so fancy pulling it out of my purse to re-apply.  I know they are pricey, but they are worth it.  Remember quality over quantity?  My most favorite color is #7 which is a light pink and also #8 which is a brighter pink.  I’ve worn #7 in this post and #8 in this post.

Nars Audacious Lipsticks– This is a lipstick, but acts like a stain. The staying power here is intense.  And you only need one swipe of this to get full color on your lips.  My most favorite color is Charlotte, which is a deep berry.  It’s one of my most favorite colors for Fall and I even love it this time of year with a tan.  Don’t think you can’t wear your dark lips now!  This is also the formula that I have for my red lipstick, called Annabella (not pictured, but you can see in this post and this post).  The high pigment and easiness of applying makes for the perfect red.

Stila Liquid Lipstick– I tried these lipsticks after wanting something that won’t rub off as easily.  And that’s exactly what I got.  They stay put all day.  And while they do rub off a little bit, they last for hours.  I have noticed they are a little more drying to your lips, so I recommend putting on chapstick (this is the one I use) beforehand and then adding the gloss.  My most favorite color is Amalfi which is a hot pink (not pictured), you can see it here in this post on Instagram.  I also love Rosa which is a light pink and Baci which is more of a mauve color and the perfect pink for the cooler months.  I wore Rosa in this post here and Baci in this post here.

MAC (not pictured)- I can’t talk about lipsticks and not talk about my #1 right now which isn’t even included in this picture! (sorry about that).  Right now I wear Creme Cup every morning and it’s my most favorite lipstick.  It’s the perfect light pink, the lipstick itself is very hydrating and it is only $17!!!!  How can you beat that?  I haven’t worn MAC in a few years and decided to give them another shot and I’m so happy I did.

    These are all awesome recommendations that I’m going to have to check out! I’m a lipstick lover but haven’t bought a new one in ages. I personally love the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks because of how pigmented they are and how they stay put all day.

    Such a great roundup! Those NARS lipsticks look so creamy and plush! Also, so many of my faves are from MAC!
