Happy 4th of July!  I hope everyone had an amazing weekend and got a little time off of work.  We were up in Charlevoix, MI with Kurt’s family over the weekend and we had a blast.

I know you are probably sick of my red, white and blue outfits, but I seriously love these colors together.  At one point, I even had my living room decorated in these colors.  West Elm had this super cute rug that I just had to have and I re-did everything.  Sadly, that rug was too big for our current place, so I had to say goodbye to it, but you get the point.  Ok, sorry- a little off topic.  Back to my outfit! 🙂

Do you wear red lipstick?  If you don’t, you are totally missing out.  I was always a little scared of it, to be honest.  But I promise you that you shouldn’t be!  Nars makes some of my favorite lipsticks.  The Audacious lipsticks, which is what I am wearing, are the best!  They are a satin finish and more matte, but pack a huge punch with boldness.  You just need one swipe and you have the perfect amount of color.  These lipsticks are not only moisturizing, but they are long lasting as well.  I always recommend a liner before you use this lipstick because red tends to bleed.  These chunky pencils by Nars are my favorite.  In fact you can wear these on their own as well (which I love to do).

I can’t wait to spend all day at the pool.  And my biggest decision for the day will be- hot dog or hamburger? 🙂  What are your plans for the 4th of July?
