The Best Cotton Sweaters I Re-Wear All Year Long

I am a big sweater lover and over the years have collected quite a few that I wear often. My go to outfit no matter what the season is jeans, t-shirt, sweater, repeat. In colder months, I add a flat, sneaker or boot. And in warmer months I add a flat sandal or flip flop and swap my jeans out for a pair of shorts. And if it’s really hot, I tie my sweaters around my shoulders because it’s always cold in the AC! I’ve found that sweaters make me feel put together while still being cozy and ready to tackle my day. I look good on teams calls and after work I can still keep up with my busy child in her activities. My most worn sweaters are cotton because you can wear them year round. They are a nice layer in the spring and summer yet still keep you warm enough in the fall before it gets too cold. These are the six best cotton sweaters that I own and re-wear all year long.

Minnow Striped Sweater

This striped sweater is a classic that I’ve owned for three years now and I’m still excited to pull it out every season. In the summer months, I love pairing it with red shorts for a festive Americana look. And this fall I can’t wait to wear it with brown suede flats and a white button down underneath. It fits more like an oversized sweatshirt which makes it relaxed yet elevated. And it has a hint of cashmere in it so it is really soft. I’ve always wanted to add the matching sweater short to wear as a set or on their own, so these are on my spring wish list for next year.

Alice Walk Sweater Jacket

This sweater jacket is an item I will have in my wardrobe forever. It is one of those classic cozy sweaters that you reach for often. This is a great layer to add on those chilly days. I wear it like a sweater or even as a jacket because it’s both! I love the green, but I also would love to add this piece to my closet in white. It’s a timeless piece that is an investment, but I am all about cost per wear and I’ve already worn this enough for it to cost pennies!

J.Crew Rollneck

I bought this J.Crew rollneck sweater in the spring when it first came out in the navy/white striped and loved it so much I knew I needed the navy for fall. And I can already tell this is going to be worn a lot this season. It is that perfectly oversized, comfy, cozy cotton sweater of your dreams. And the added touch of the rollneck just makes it that much more classic. I actually think I am also going to add the ivory to my closet this season too. When you find something you love, I buy it in multiple colors!

Quince Fisherman Crewneck

I absolutely had to add this $42 fisherman sweater to my list of best cotton sweaters because you would never know how inexpensive it is, but it’s so good!!! The shape of it is classic, it’s warm, 100% organic cotton and the perfect layer to any outfit. This sweater is also a great one to tie around your shoulders because the ivory goes with everything. I still can’t get over the price on this one!

Marea Striped Cardigan

Cardigans are a must in my collection because they are the first thing I like to throw on when I am chilly. This Marea striped cardigan has been my go to since I got it over the summer. I clearly have a thing for navy stripes 🙂 Marea is a brand that I keep coming back to because the quality and styling are just so good. I truly have not loved a brand more. Think J.Crew but slightly more girly with those extra special added details. Plus the fabrics they use are top notch so you are getting high quality clothing that lasts season after season. I’m always setting an alarm when they have a new collection hitting because things sell out quickly. I would also 100% add this striped cardigan to my collection in the red too.

Tuckernuck Crewneck Sweater

I truly think I’ve worn this navy sweater once a week since I got it in the spring. I love the drapey, yet fitted fit of this sweater. It feels classic, but in an updated way. Navy goes with everything and is one of my favorite colors to wear, but I also think the ivory is very chic.

I plan to wear all of these sweaters this fall so be on the watch on how I am styling them.
