What to Wear to Disney World

What to wear to Disney World

Yesterday we left for our trip to Disney World and I am seriously so excited!  Both Kurt and I have been working so much and have both been super busy this last month.  We need a vaca badly!  Although, I’m not really sure how relaxing this vacation will be because we will want to see EVERYTHING!  After I get back, I plan on doing a more in depth post on our trip on what to do, where to eat, where we stayed etc.  So expect that coming to the blog soon.  In the meantime, here are some tips on what to wear to Disney World and also some of the items that I packed:

  1. The classic Mickey tee– You have to wear one at least ONE day, right?  And this one won’t break the bank either.
  2. Converse– It is a MUST to wear comfortable shoes.  You will be doing a ton of walking and you don’t want your feet hurting anymore than they already will.  I just bought these for our trip because they are cute and comfy!
  3. Minnie Mouse Earrings– How adorable are these earrings?  Kate Spade has a really cute collection out right now of all things Minnie Mouse and these earrings are my fav!
  4. Jean Jacket– No matter what time of year you go, it’s usually pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings.  So you want to be prepared and carry a light jacket.  A jean jacket is the perfect pick because they look cute on and also cute tied around your waist once it starts to get hot outside.
  5. Shorts– It’s going to be hot during the day, so I recommend wearing shorts and adding layers if you are going at a time of year when it will be chilly.  I really like this pair because they are a little longer than ones I already have in my closet.  Just keep in mind there will be a lot of kids and parents, so your short shorts might not cut it.
  6. Minnie Mouse Ears– You need these for at least one picture, even if you feel silly wearing them.  And I would recommend getting these before your vacation because everything is super expensive inside the parks.
  7. Sunglasses– It will hopefully be sunny the whole time you are there, so make sure you wear your sunglasses!
  8. Mickey Mouse Hat– I think this hat is so adorable!  I could even see myself wearing it after our trip on the weekends running errands.  And it’s another great way to protect yourself from the sun,
  9. T-shirt dress– I love these dresses because they can be worn multiple ways.  And they look so cute with sneakers and your jeans jacket tied around your waist.
  10. Backpack– I recommend a backpack, rather than a purse.  You can be hands free and not have to worry about anything.  And backpacks are all the rage right now!

Meet Amanda

Hi- my name is Amanda Faber. My husband and I moved in 2021 into our first home where we are slowly decorating and renovating our 1927 colonial home. My style is a mix between coastal, traditional, modern and grandmillenial. You can expect to find all the best blue and white finds, mixed in with lots of rattan accents. I have a love/hate with family photos. It always s I have a love/hate with family photos. It always sounds like a great idea when you book them, but they always end up being way more work than you think.  Work always ends up being crazy that day, something always goes wrong with someone’s outfit (this year it was Sloane’s adorable pink shoes that I swear I just bought her. They were too tight 🤨- so she threw on her rain boots). The weather is never quite what you expected when you planned everyone’s outfits. I swear I threw my dress on and had 2 minutes to spare before we were out the door.  The stress and planning that entails for 15 minutes of photos is crazy lol. The perks of my dad being skinny- I can steal all The perks of my dad being skinny- I can steal all of his clothes 😀 He wore this @jcrew pink linen shirt to my baby shower and wore it proudly all day 🩷 He was so excited. After that when he would wear it I would remember he wore it to my shower. It represented all the hard times we went through to get Sloane here and it always took me back to that special day. So now I get to wear it proudly 🩷
There is no more special bond than a daughter and There is no more special bond than a daughter and her father and I have to say I was blessed with one of the best 8/18/46-4/20/25 🩷 My dad always told me ‘if you look good, you feel good’ and that’s when my love of fashion and clothes started.  I will always remember him when I hear an oldies song playing, when I see a classic car (especially if it’s a red 1967 Barracuda), when I’m eating a donut, drinking a hot cup of coffee or when I’m ironing my clothes. Yes I still iron haha but I got that from my dad.  He was always put together and his clothes were always crisp. I know he touched so many lives including mine.
