I am so ready for the 4th of July this year! And to make it even better my brother in law and sister in law just surprised everyone that they are coming into town this year for the holiday! They live in California so tickets were really high so we didn’t think it would happen. But they kept looking and found a great deal on some. I’m so excited for Sloane to spend some time with her cousins. They came over Christmas, but she was still so little then. And now that she is on the move, I have a feeling they will have a ton of fun together.
Speaking of the 4th of July, how adorable is Sloane’s outfit?! I put this on her really quick so I could get a picture and it is just too cute. I can’t wait until she can actually wear it. After I snapped the pic, I changed her out of it because she was going to daycare that day haha. And she always comes home a mess from there. So I don’t send her in any nice clothes anymore.
I also have the entire week of 4th of July off which I am really excited about. Sloane is also going to stay home from school to give her a break. One day we are going to the zoo with one of my girlfriends and then we head up north to see my parents for a long weekend. My parents live in Traverse City and I can’t remember the last time I was up there for the Cherry Festival. We used to go every year growing up so I’m excited for Sloane to experience the festivities even if she won’t remember it.
Last weekend, Kurt celebrated his first Father’s Day and it was the best day ever. Sloane decided to wake up extra early for me that day haha so we made a big breakfast and celebrated. Later that night Kurt cooked a pizza on the grill and it was soooo good. I keep craving it now.
Here are some items that have caught my eye this week:
- I adore this bathing suit! So cute and looks really comfy. This one is also really cute.
- I’ve seen so many blogger lately promote this new to me brand, Ayr. And I recently got their magazine in the mail and now I am obsessed. How cute is this oversized button down with the matching shorts!?
- I can’t believe I haven’t shared this yet, but I have never loved a bag more than this belt bag. It seems so simple, but I absolutely love this for being hands free especially with Sloane. And the price is soooo good! It makes things so much easier for daycare drop off and pick-up. It’s all I have been using lately. I got the white but it comes in a ton of colors. Colors keep going in and out of stock so keep checking back!
- My skin has been so dry lately and I couldn’t take it anymore so I dug into my samples and found this one. Well, it has worked wonders for my skin! I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks, but I love it. My skin looks so good every morning when I wake up. Eventually, I plan to order the bigger size when my sample runs out. I also really need to do an updated skincare routine because I have been using so many great products that I love.
- I also ordered this new cleanser to try. They say this is absolutely amazing for acne prone skin which I have. I am still getting some breakouts on my chin, so I am hoping this helps to clear that up. I’ve had this cleanser saved for so long because I haven’t been able to use it due to IVF, being pregnant and postpartum so I am really excited to finally try it.
- I think I finally found a bed!!!! And I am super excited for it. I have been working on the design plans for this room and it looks so good. It includes this bed, these euro pillows and duvet cover, these beautiful shams and this bolster pillow. Will share once it is complete because I’m in love. While on the hunt for a bed I found this bed that I am obsessed with! It looks old, but updated and I love it. It is a little more than I want to spend or else I think this would be the one.
- Recently I ordered this mirror for our dining room. I’ve been in love with it and just decided to pull the trigger. I plan to put it above our bar cart in the corner.
- I bought these adorable sandals for myself- I couldn’t resist! They will be perfect with shorts and dresses for the rest of summer. And I thought the price was pretty good considering they are by Kate Spade.
- We have this side table in Sloane’s nursery and I just love the look of it. And it’s really affordable for what it is. I’ve seen similar for way more money. In our apartment in Chicago, I had it in our living room so it has made it’s way around our home.
