I ordered this tray from the new Pottery Barn collection and I just adore it. I had no idea where I wanted to put it, but it’s perfect in Sloane’s room. When we eventually move her to a big girl bed, I want to add some touches of green to her space so this is perfect. I adore these colors together!
In other news, I don’t think I’ve shared this yet on the blog, but we had a tornado come thru our town. It was nuts! And kind of scary. It all happened so fast and was really intense for a little bit. Sadly, we lost our big tree in our backyard. It fell and ruined our fence and hit our neighbors garage and caused some damage. It’s been kind of a pain dealing with insurance on this because so many people were affected, so everything is really backed up.
The good news is we are getting a new fence! We currently have a very old chain link fence that is just not very nice to look at. And our neighbors agreed to upgrade it and we will be splitting the cost. I’m really excited to see how it turns out! I bet it will make a huge difference. We will still need to eventually do the other side of our yard and replace our gate. Baby steps!
I’m really excited because I found a really good photographer in our area who is also very reasonably priced. I love her style too! So this year, I am planning on doing family photos and have been on the hunt for outfits for all of us. I ordered Sloane this top and skirt, which I thought might also be cute for school pictures or Thanksgiving this year. And I think I might order myself this dress because I’m obsessed! Now just need to figure out something for Kurt.
Here are a few things I’ve found while shopping lately!
- J.Crew launched more new arrivals (I shared a some of my picks in this post here) and it has me so excited for Fall! I adore this jacket (so chic) and I also adore the ruffles on this blouse.
- I’ve always loved Hill House dresses, but lately I love them more and more. I absolutely adore this dress and this dress. Would be perfect if you are planning Fall photos with your family!
- It’s that time of year when the Halloween pj’s are coming out! Little Sleepies is my absolute favorite brand. I know I’ve talked about them before, but they just last so long. Sloane can usually wear her pj’s for over a year which is kind of crazy. They stretch for days! I bought this Halloween pair for Sloane, but was really tempted by these too. - Ok J.Crew Factory has the cutest little girls clothes! I added this vest, this top, this jean skirt, these leggings and this jacket all to my cart for Sloane. So adorable, right?!
- I kind of love this shark costume idea for Sloane. She would be so cute in it! Plus her favorite song right now is Baby Shark- shocking, I know haha!
- I really want to add a balloon garland around our door on Halloween. I think it would make things look extra festive. I found this one and this one that I thought were cute. The secret is to invest in a balloon pump! It makes blowing up balloons so much easier.
- Adding these Halloween sprinkles to my Amazon cart for my next order. I’m going to make Sloane some special treats for the holiday. She loves to cook with me!
- Mackenzie-Childs launched their new fall collection and I’m dying over their new pumpkins. How pretty is this grey one and this grey striped pumpkin. So cute especially if you already have some of the black and white pumpkins. It would look really cute all mixed together.
- I’m intrigued to try this $5 lip gloss. People have been raving about this brand.
- I have a small hallway in my kitchen that I want to hang all of Sloane’s artwork in. I actually am going to try and convince Kurt to do it this weekend. And I wanted to add this display for artwork that can easily be changed out periodically.
- Adore this short sleeve sweatshirt and short set! So cute for any end of summer activities.
- I love this rattan chair! I haven’t been able to figure out a place to put it. Someone buy it and I can live thru you haha.
- How pretty are these blue and white pillow cases?
