Today is Sloane’s 2nd birthday and I just can’t get over that is has already been a full year. This year flew! I remember a good friend of mine last year at Sloane’s first birthday party telling me that she felt like year two went by even faster and I have to agree with her! Now I know what she was referring to. It has been the amazing to see this little girl turn into a toddler and learn so much. It’s so fun to hear her voice and hear her talk more. She has opinions, likes, dislikes. And I have had so much more fun dressing her lately! She is just the cutest thing ever.
Sloane is sweet, sensitive, shy, cautious little girl. She loves to play in the yard and loves to help us with any task we are doing but especially weeding and watering the flowers. Addie is her best friend and she has no fear of big dogs. I taught her early on to say ‘No, No Addie’ and she says that a lot to her haha. Especially when Addie is trying to steal her food š Lately, she has turned into a Daddy’s girl and loves being around him every second. I know year three will come with it’s challenges just like the previous years, but I am so looking forward to all the good times with my little girl and watching her grow into the perfect little child that she is!
On another note, today is also my husbands birthday. Sloane and Kurt share a birthday which is still crazy to me. I don’t think I will ever be able to wrap my head around that because the chances are so slime. He is the best dad and it’s no wonder Sloane is obsessed with him. Lately, he has turned into an avid gardener and landscaper haha. Our yard looks so good this year because of him. I can only take credit for the design of it haha. I tell him what kind of flowers/bushes I want and he makes it come to life. I’m so very lucky to have a wonderful partner like Kurt. If you know Kurt, you gotta love him!
Will keep this short and sweet today! So here are some shopping finds I’ve found around the internet lately.
- This is by far the best self tanning lotion I have ever used! It is more of a gradual glow but even after applying it from day one you have a really nice tan. And it really lasts too. I like to apply this at night with a mitt because it makes it go on more evenly. The best part about this product is there is no smell and you don’t get orange color all over your sheets. I’ve noticed a few spots here and there on my pj’s but it’s nothing like with other products I’ve used. Highly recommend!
- I like to keep these birthday cards on hand. You get 20 which includes envelopes for only $9, which is such a steal. And makes my life so much easier!
- On my wish list for Fall- these pink high top sneakers! I think they are so cute.
- I recently got this striped sweatshirt and it is so adorable! I love the preppy, nautical feel. But the fit is also super cute. It’s cropped, but not too short in my opinion. It’s also a really nice weight. I’ve been wearing it on chilly mornings, but I also think it will be perfect as we head into Fall.
- I’ve had my eye on these shorts in black, which I think they would be really cute on hot Fall days. I saw a mom at the park wearing these- at least I think they were these. And they looked super cute! I haven’t ordered them yet, but I can’t stop thinking about them.
- I’ve been noticing oversized heart necklaces all over lately and I kind of want to try the trend. I think it’s so cute. I found this necklace that is more affordable than anything else I’ve found.
- Ok, are these not the most adorable overalls?! I think they are so cute.
- The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is still going on and last week I got in my order. I love these sneakers for Sloane! I ordered a size up for her, but I might have to order a pair in her size now. I showed them to her when they came in and it was a struggle for me to get them away from her haha. She loves them too!
- I ordered these pj’s for Sloane over Amazon Prime day and I’m really impressed with them especially because they are only $20. They are really soft and fit really nicely. They are nice and snug- highly recommend!
- I finally ordered pillows for our play room- these are the ones I went with. And I can hardly wait! I think they are going to tie everything in so nicely. I’ve been so happy with how this room is coming together. It’s been a lot of fun decorating it!
- One of my go to outfit lately has been these shorts and this shirt. Love the hot pink! They are both really comfortable, breathable and I just love the fun color.
- Saks is having a really good sale right now. How cute is this pink dress and I love this white one too. Both have been on my wish list.
- I am dying right now because I am so obsessed with this top and shorts. I have a baby shower to attend next week and I’m strongly considering ordering this outfit to wear to it. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive!
- I’m also in love with this striped sweater. Such a classic piece you will wear again and again.
- Sloane loves to watch Cocomelon and my mom bought her this adorable sweatshirt! She is going to freak out when she realizes Coco is on her clothes!
- I thought these long sleeve t-shirts were adorable and perfect for Fall for Sloane. I love the puff sleeve detail.
- On my next Target order, I plan to grab these Halloween leggings for Sloane. The kitties are super cute! And they are only $5. I can’t believe it is already that time of year that we have to start thinking about Halloween!
- I also added this super cute sweatshirt and sweatpants set to my cart for Sloane. Love the color too!
