Happy holiday season! I am planning on getting a jump start on my Christmas shopping this week and am going to start ordering some stuff for Sloane. I have some cute ideas for her that I will share! We had the most fun trick or treating earlier this week too. Holidays are so fun with little ones! She was a little apprehensive at first, but she got the hang of it. And then realized she got candy haha so then she loved it.

Last Saturday, we did a trick or treat event at the Ford House and they did a really cute job. There were treats for the kids, games, hay rides, a maze (but it was very little kid friendly), donuts, cider. It was really cute and we will be doing this event in the years to come. Plus it was super close to us. Ok, here are five random things this month 🙂

1- I ordered Sloane quite a few new pairs of shoes a few months ago and I ordered a size up because I figured her feet would grow. Well, of course she is still in the same size! I know she will wear them eventually haha. I decided to buy her these black boots in her current size to wear for Halloween and I thought they would be super cute with plaid for the holidays. They are even cuter in person! And such a steal too.

2- We are hosting Thanksgiving this year. And I’m really excited about it. No idea where to buy my turkey from or what recipes I will use, but I have been scheming up ideas for my table haha. Here is kind of what I am going for. My mom gave me all of her turkey plates and platters last year, so I am really excited to use them this year. The plates I have are really similar to these. I absolutely adore this centerpiece and think it would look gorgeous on my table. The only thing is the price! Ugh. So pretty though. I did already order two of these tablecloths because I thought it would look really pretty with my plates and also they are only $20!

3- I always struggle with how to display my Christmas cards. Usually I throw them in a bowl or in a stack on my coffee table. I found this adorable scallop card holder and it’s genius! Plus it’s super cute. I think it would look cute displaced on my buffet in my dining room.

4- This is hands down the best smelling holiday candle. It is my absolute favorite! I know I rave about it every year. And every year I buy one to burn all season long. This is also a great gift idea! It smells exactly like a fresh tree, so it’s perfect if you have an artificial one like we do. This candle always helps to put me in the holiday spirit!

5- Weezie towels are high on my wish list right now. Once we get our powder bath completed I plan on ordering a cute set of hand towels. Anyway, they came out with the most beautiful embroidery for festive holiday hand towels that I just can’t get over! They also make kitchen towels and tissue box covers. Another super cute gift idea, especially because you can personalize it. This is one of those things that you don’t want to buy yourself, but makes a really good gift idea!

Gift guides are launching next week so get ready! Happy start to the Christmas season!

I have a love/hate with family photos. It always s I have a love/hate with family photos. It always sounds like a great idea when you book them, but they always end up being way more work than you think. Work always ends up being crazy that day, something always goes wrong with someone’s outfit (this year it was Sloane’s adorable pink shoes that I swear I just bought her. They were too tight 🤨- so she threw on her rain boots). The weather is never quite what you expected when you planned everyone’s outfits. I swear I threw my dress on and had 2 minutes to spare before we were out the door. The stress and planning that entails for 15 minutes of photos is crazy lol. And then you get them back and they perfectly capture your family 💙 I’m grateful we do these every year even if the process is a little crazy #fallfamilyphotos @tessamerrillphotography
