5 of My Most Worn Jackets for Spring

Lately, I have been really into jackets. And today I wanted to share my top five most worn jackets for spring. I think especially during this time of year, your jackets are an extension of your outfit or in some cases- are your outfit!

This has been my most worn jacket as of lately mostly because it still has been chilly, especially in the mornings here in Chicago. I know this one is a bit of a splurge, but I have had my eye on it for years and finally pulled the trigger on it four years ago. And I wear it all the time. What I love most about it is it’s super warm! So it’s the perfect jacket for those in between winter jacket days, but its not quite warm enough yet for a light spring jacket. I can’t seem to find my exact jacket anymore which is a bummer because I really love how this one cinches in your waist and the fact that it has a hood. Gotta have hoods in Chicago because it’s always so windy! Here are a few similar options:

Again another jacket that I bought about four years ago and it just seems to make an appearance again every year around this time! It’s a timeless jacket that will never go out of style- trust me on this one. My dream is to upgrade one day to the Burberry trench, but for now it’s a little pricey! Anyway, here are some great options at all price points if you are in the market for a trench coat.

This jacket is a must in everyone’s closet! I bought it last year because I was in the market for a rain jacket. At the time I was taking the train to work and needed something for those rainy spring days and decided I would order this one. And I was shocked at how cute it was! And not only that it is a lot warmer than you think. It’s extremely lightweight and one would think it wouldn’t be very warm, but I was pleasantly surprised! I was so excited to see that J.Crew brought it back this year AND in so many new colors. I personally love the yellow and peony color, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the colors.

I’ve had this jacket for years now (too many to count at this point) and it has become such staple in my closet every year. I love how you can wear it super casual like I wore it here with leggings, sneakers and a tee. Or you can dress it up a little bit with some heels. It’s such a classic coat! Since mine is no longer sold, here are some similar options. I’m actually in love with this one and have been tempted many times to order it.

Jean Jacket

Everyone, I repeat everyone needs a jean jacket in their wardrobe. While I haven’t worn it too much yet this spring, as the temps start to warm up, I know I will get my use out of it. I love wearing it with white jeans, over dresses and skirts. And it always goes with everything. A cute way to wear it now is layered with another jacket for extra warmth. You still get that spring look and the added warmth of wearing two jackets. It would be adorable layered with this utility jacket!
