I don’t tell you guys a lot that you absolutely need anything in your closet. But I am going to say that everyone needs a white button down shirt. If you don’t have one- you need one! It is the most versatile item you will own. And there are SO many ways that you can style it. I’ve been wearing mine a lot lately. I picked up this one up from J.Crew (where else? lol) a few weeks ago and I’ve been wearing and styling it non-stop! So, today I thought I would do something a little different and show you a few different ways you can wear your white button down shirt. From dressy to more casual- the options are endless!

This is my favorite way I’ve been wearing mine lately. The weather this Spring in Chicago has been cold, cold and more cold. So I’ve wanted to be comfy, but still look put together on the weekends. I’m wearing my all time favorite leggings from Nordstrom (hint- they go on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year!). And I love these boots. I know they are a splurge, but they are one of those items that aren’t going out of style and you will wear a lot. I actually got mine on sale, so you just have to be on the lookout if you are saving up for a pair!

And this is a really great dressy/casual look. The jeans give it a more casual look and the top makes the outfit more dressy feeling. Top it off with a your fav bootie and a great handbag and you’ve got yourself a classic and polished look! This might be my favorite way to wear this top. There is something about a simple outfit that I just love!

Lastly, I showcased this outfit in this post here and wanted to re-share these images. I love to wear a white button up to work. I actually wear a collared shirt almost every other day in the Spring and Summer months. If it’s chilly out I will pair it with a merino wool sweater or when it’s really hot out I wear it alone.
I’m always reaching for this top. And I wear it almost immediately every time I get it back from the dry cleaners! What’s your favorite way to wear a white button down?
